The team decided on zero. Heck, his existing contract ended up having the final year lopped off.

There are a lot of great choices. It could be recency bias or team bias, but gun to my head I probably would choose Newton. He really was a physical freak. Vick wasn't the world's greatest quarterback but damn was he an insane athlete.

What Are You Going To Be Upset About If We Draft A
Mr. Scot replied to OceanPanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not up for drafting a quarterback but I can live with it if we do. I'd prefer an offensive lineman, but corner and D-Line are also legitimate needs. Couldn't really complain about those even if they're not my preference. Going back to a Marty special and drafting a linebacker or runningback would make me wanna barf. -
Fantastic quarterback, yeah. Physical specimen? Not so much.

Per Jordan Palmer, Josh Allen. Albert Breer says John Elway. According to Darin Gantt, three guesses.

Punctuation matters. The responses to that post are pretty much exactly what you'd expect.

And worth it.

If you figure that out, then do me a favor and tell me what the hell's in Scooby Snacks that can make a complete coward ready to risk their life. (yes, I know the theorized answer)

Judging by where he ended up, Rohypnol apparently.

Sometimes I feel like Bill Cosby when Coca Cola trotted him out to tell everybody with a straight face that he liked "New Coke" better. Of course, in the years since, I've learned that feeling like Bill Cosby probably isn't a good idea

(don't come at me; I didn't write it)

If that happens, I hope you're right. Bottom Line: I care way more about the Panthers doing the right thing that I care about them doing what I think they should.

Over many many years of Marty Hurney being in charge, I've gotten used to saying "Well I don't agree with what they're doing, but I hope it works". I'm fully prepared to say that again this year if they draft a quarterback in round one. But also hoping I don't have to..not only for that decision but also for numerous others to come.

It's kind of like with the Rams and Lions did with Goff (on a far lesser scale). There had long been speculation that we were going to have to do something like this to move Bridgewater because his contract was terrible.
-
That was probably what we were asking. They wanted us to take on part of his salary and were willing to move up to a sixth.

Patriots "talked" to Falcons about trading for #4 pick (Fields)
Mr. Scot replied to TheWiz's topic in Carolina Panthers
...with the exception of division rivals.
