That thought occurred to me too. Plus you had people saying "maybe it was really Brady all along".
-
I won't be surprised if he gets an offer somewhere else. If he gets an offer somewhere else and has a breakout season, I'll be bummed
-
I'm...guessing this is a practice squad guy?
-
You're doing it poorly. This many years down the road, nobody gives a sh-t what Norwell was like in college. You gave a bad opinion about Norwell and now you're spinning like crazy to try to justify it.
-
It depends on the level of the offer.

Patriot fans seem excited that Cams back
Mr. Scot replied to mrcompletely11's topic in Carolina Panthers
You still gonna be a big Belichick fan if he replaces Newton? (his contract makes that very easy to do) -
This guy is one of the people reporting the Thuney signing... I don't recognize the name from ESPN or NFL Network. Not sure what his credentials are
-
Bad news, dear lady...
-
Josh Klein now reporting that the Panthers are not going to tender Obada.
-
Multiple sources now reporting that the Chiefs are signing Joe Thuney.
-
They still have until Wednesday at 4pm, but this isn't a good sign.
-
It used to be a lot higher but then you signed up. Marty is gone, and since Jerry is also done, Marty's never coming back (thank God). If you're gonna troll, find something original. Rehashing pro Hurney takes is boring.
-
Only guy that hasn't received a tender offer yet. We speculated earlier that maybe they were trying to sign him to something longer, but this sort of flies in the face of that. He's been good depth. I was hoping we'd keep him.

I don't think these guys are backups. It looks like they're making more money than our starters did last year.
-
I think at this point, it's fairly safe to say that missing the playoffs last year pissed Belichick off. It is, however, also fair to point out that Bill Belichick the GM doesn't have as good a track record as Bill Belichick the coach.

Rapaport says the Patriots deal with Matt Judon is done.

I remember Elflein being pretty good in the past. Don't know as much about Erving. As mentioned elsewhere, I'm not "freaked out" by either signing, but I am a little concerned about us pursuing recently injured players again.

I don't know that these are terrible signings, and I feel like it's going to be a while before we can say anything definitive on it. My concern is that we're still pursuing players who have dealt with recent injuries.
