    Correct, with one small caveat. If free agency goes as planned - i.e. no immediate holes left when it's done - then technically the landscape could look pretty similar from year to year.

    Knew somebody would make that reference I have noticed some relatively new guys who are holding their own pretty well. Yeah, we may be swimming in offseason muck (par for the course this time of year) but there is also a decent group of newbies that definitely have something worthwhile to say.

    The theory would be that better players equate to better offense, even with sub par coaching. Valid? Don't know. (but I certainly hope it is)

    As I understand, if all the terms are agreed upon, the documents can be sent via fax. Plus I don't think the GM actually has to be there when someone signs. They usually are, but aren't required to be.
