Good post, and you've reminded me of an odd phenomenon I've noticed. For whatever reason, there's something of a disconnect between my football life and my real world life. In the real world, I'm politically conservative, yet it seems most of the people with whom I agree in football discussions are politically to the left. And some who are conservative like me (or in some cases even way more than me) are posters with whom I hardly ever agree when it comes to football. Weird It's actually one of the reasons I rarely post in The Tinderbox. When I come to this board, I'd rather talk football than politics, and I got tired of having real world arguments with people I agreed with on football issues

Well, you've got one of the funnier screen names. Heh
-
Good choices. I'd add Jayflip to the list of guys who don't post as often as others but make sense when they do.
-
Don't always agree with you but I think your football knowledge is up to snuff when you do post. That's another of the 'young-uns' I think does pretty well. And I'd add you do a great job as well, but it's hard to reference you for your long (and changing) screen names

You're doing well

I don't recall people hating the idea so much as believing that we couldn't afford him (which turned out to be true). As to Crabtree, I'm not that big a fan anyway, but even less of a fan when you take him out of a West Coast system.
-
YAC is actually very important... ...if you're running a West Coast Offense. If you run a Coryell offense, well then getting open and catching are kind of more important. YAC is a 'nice to have' but not as big a deal.
-
I'm not a big Crabtree fan.
-
Aaahhh, he's just a product of the sys...wait

Nobody's mentioned our most active mods, Rayzor and Monsta, yet? No doubt there are more who are well worthy of mention also, but the unfortunate nature of threads like these is that deserving people all too often fall through the cracks.
-
I'd agree. Our occasional visitor Magnus is also one of the better sources you can find for football knowledge.
-
Correct, with one small caveat. If free agency goes as planned - i.e. no immediate holes left when it's done - then technically the landscape could look pretty similar from year to year.
-
Actually you're one of the new guys I was talking about. You're off to a good start so far.
-
Knew somebody would make that reference I have noticed some relatively new guys who are holding their own pretty well. Yeah, we may be swimming in offseason muck (par for the course this time of year) but there is also a decent group of newbies that definitely have something worthwhile to say.
-
I liked him better when he was younger. Who were you before? All of you guys are doing fine.
-
Then follow the guy you think is. There are Viking boards online too.
-
Wrong answer. He should be encouraged to pursue his Vikings fandom.
-
You're right. You should become a Vikings fan.
-
Yeah, that's no shock.
-
I can draw a good one and probably coach you how to run it. Might even be able to run it myself, but you'd be timing me with a calendar.
-
The theory would be that better players equate to better offense, even with sub par coaching. Valid? Don't know. (but I certainly hope it is)

Aaron Wilson and In Rapoport are better sources. I've never really been that big a fan of Crabtree either.
