That's why I'm losing my enthusiasm. Said it elsewhere: I have ideas about what we should do and what we shouldn't, but I'm increasingly of the opinion that it doesn't matter. The things that most need to change aren't going to, so what's the point?

I'm honestly approaching a point of near total apathy. I have ideas about what I think should happen and shouldn't happen, but I'm not terribly passionate about them anymore because I'm not sure it matters.
-
The test isn't the problem. The people who put too much stock in it are.
-
FYI: Just saw where Mac Jones got benched in New England. Bailey Zappe will be playing the second half.
-
It's only rigged when we lose.

Don't get that play call at all...
-
Gotta give Duce Staley some credit. Chuba Hubbard couldn't catch a cold last year. This year he's worlds better as a receiver.
-
Original word was that Tepper wanted an established head coach. At some point, the story became that we wanted a young offensive mind. Then we interviewed the young offensive minds (except Johnson) and suddenly everything changed. Hard to know what to believe at this point, except that it sounds like chaos.

I don't know that it was going to matter either way. Fans were going to hate either decision.

The Texans hired a former player who loved the organization. I don't know that we have anybody like that in the pipeline, although it kind of fits our current coach
-
The biggest hope I have heading into next season is that we added Adrian Wilson to the front office. He came aboard too late to really have an effect on this past offseason, but with a full offseason to work next year It might be different.

This is where the scenario goes wrong.

Fair point
-
Yeah, people would have screamed about that just as much. Hell, we did it last week.
-
It might not necessarily be that. From what I've seen, Tennessee has been a bad second half team.
-
You think Matt Rhule could have developed Lawrence?
-
That's Will McClay. He's someone I'd certainly love to have as part of our organization, but that's extremely unlikely.
-
He's no doubt got the physical characteristics. Haven't seen enough to confirm the mental side yet.
-
This is the part that's not likely to happen. And unfortunately, nothing changes until it does.
-
Self-awareness is not exactly a strong point on this team. We were never really as good as they believed we were last season under Wilks.
-
The biggest thing that gets me is people automatically just saying "this guy sucks, let's get somebody else" to everything that goes wrong. That's the lottery ticket mentality, and teams that employ it perpetually suck. You've got to be able to see what's really happening on a deeper level. Otherwise, you just make the same mistakes over and over again.

I think that was the right call

We use it on the majority of our pass plays, which is typical WCO. If we're going to continue doing it this way, we need to use more tight ends and backs blocking. Unfortunately, given the fact that we don't have enough people getting open, it's kind of a catch-22.

Woods can argue that he was going for the ball on that but his arm position doesn't support it.
-
That's what makes it tough to evaluate him. He's certainly had struggles. As a rookie adjusting to the NFL, he's going to have those. But the fact that he has such a bad situation around him just makes everything so much worse.
