  1. Money heals a lot of wounds too. That said, this is a reunion I have a hard time picturing.
  2. In 2015? Yeah. By 2020? Not so much. As to this season, people are already pretty excited but wait till we draft a quarterback and watch it kick into overdrive.
  3. Speaking as an acknowledged member of the old and uncool, I have no idea what this means. I'm sure someone on here can explain though
  4. It's also logical. Honestly, that means as much to me as anything does. Sure, we could be hopeful after Rhule was hired, but it was something you had to talk yourself into. That's not true at all with Reich.
  5. No argument. I do acknowledge the potential that choosing either one could wind up being a huge mistake.
  6. I think that feeling is back, but it's not because of a player. It's because of the head coach.
  7. They asked Fitterer if he could remember a pro day changing his opinion about something. He said most of the time it just reinforces what they already know as far as the workouts. The real opportunity, he added, is the chance to get to know the player as a person and get to hear what the people around them say.
  8. Heh I've said numerous times there is absolutely nothing wrong with not knowing all the intricacies of football. It's a complicated game. It's the acting like you know when you really don't that's annoying. Not knowing though? Never a big deal. It's supposed to be fun, right?
  9. I don't really give a flying rat's ass if there's chaos among fans as long as the pick ultimately turns out to be the right one.
  10. I've seen a couple of analysts say the relatively low compensation The Cowboys had to give up for Cooks was going to make it harder for the Cardinals to get a great package in return for Hopkins.
  11. I'm not just talking about the hot takes. I'm talking about just straight up mistakes. This past season, he mentioned a Bears player named Armstrong when there was no one by that name on the roster. He also predicted that Rashaad Penny would help the Seahawks win a game...eleven days after Penny had been placed on season ending injured reserve. As I recall, he also credited some roster move to a coach who had already been fired, but I don't remember who that was. Those are a couple of examples, but there are more, and loads of times where he completely flip-flopped a supposedly strongly held opinion. In an interview a while back, he mentioned that he's not really worried about whether he gets stuff right so much as he is about making his show entertaining. I remember thinking, "well yeah, that's pretty obvious".
  12. For the record, the "road trip" article from Panthers.com does confirm that the Panthers will not be attending Auburn's Pro Day.
  13. I mean, there's a great story to be had if the franchise that got its motto from Sam Mills becomes the team where Bryce Young has success. Admittedly though, I don't give a sh-t about great stories so much as I do winning.
  14. A lot of times when there are a couple of highly regarded quarterbacks available in the draft, one of the top ones ends up being a total bust. Then afterward you hear people saying things like "How did we not see it?" If that happens with one of the top two in this draft, I hope it's the one we didn't pick.
  15. If I'm making the pick, it's Stroud. There are certainly things about him that concern me, but I think he's the best overall choice. I could live with Young. He's everything I would typically want in a quarterback, but his size scares me. Levis and Richardson both strike me as physical specimens that you'd have to teach the quarterback position to, and I'm not a fan of that model. Ultimately I'll trust whatever the staff decides, but Stroud would make that easier.
  16. I get that. Don't really think there's anybody with that kind of persona in this year's draft. I'm more the type that I don't give a sh-t if you're exciting or boring as long as you play the position well.
  17. Scouting reports would tell you he's not going to scare anybody as a runner, but that yes he can operate "off platform".
  18. I'd be willing to bet Rich Eisen has more "eyes and ears" than anyone on this board, and he agrees the decision isn't made yet.
  19. Yeah, that guy doesn't know anything. Appears to be our resident numerology geek who spent the last several years predicting that Newton would come back to the Panthers and win another MVP. Guess he got tired of that not happening and now he's moved on to being a Falcons fan. (that's actually good news for all of us)
