Not a clue... He doesn't know, dude.

So you're saying a quarterback with more losing seasons than winning ones is a bad QB? Okay

Coaching Staff: Final Pieces (as of 2-23-23)
Mr. Scot replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Speaking of college coaches (and old friends) -
Explains a lot about Wilson though, doesn't it?

Thought I saw somewhere we were only about 2 million over

Siravo is another Matt Rhule guy who for whatever reason didn't get a ticket to Nebraska.

This happened earlier today. Lots of topics discussed...

S2 Cognitive test points to NFL Success
Mr. Scot replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I get that, but to be fair Joe the Shock Jock on the afternoon drive show probably doesn't care about some college kid's SAT scores. Anything sports talk guys can use to bash a player they don't like can and will be used against them in the Court of Public Opinion. -
Yeah. I think Scientology teaches something similar. No, it doesn't. According to Ryan Leaf, he first met Trevor Moawad during his draft prep at IMG Academy. The more I read, the more I think that guy is the Genesis of a lot of his weird personality quirks.

Interesting twist regarding Lamar Jackson...
Mr. Scot replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
He doesn't know. -
An example courtesy a guy who knows a thing or two... People People get enamored with watching guys throw it far or throw it hard, when neither of those things is what matters. What matters is your ability to accurately throw it to a spot. If you can't do that, The result is more likely an incompletion. (but hey, at least it'll look really cool and make you go "wow")

Not when you account for the growth of the salary cap.

From Mike Kaye... Daniel Jeremiah thinks the depth of this year's rookie TE class might make teams less likely to spend big money on a veteran guy, which at least conceivably could make veteran TE prices go down. If you're hoping to see a new tight end option join the Panthers offense this year, would you rather wait and try to pick up a vet cheap down the road or just go ahead and look into that deep rookie class and find your guy there?
-
Boy, was that a no-brainer idea. Can't believe the NFL took so long to institute it. You'd think guys who are as furiously protective of their money as NFL owners are would have had that particular light bulb come on a long time ago.

Well of course he denies it. It's negative

Really? Huh

Todd McShay seems to really like Anthony Richardson
Mr. Scot replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
For the same reason that you work hard and try to build financial security rather than betting your future on buying lottery tickets. I don't want our team just throwing darts at a board thinking "hell, maybe this guy will be good". I want them doing their homework, scouting him, interviewing him and making smart choices when it comes time to turn in their pick. And thankfully, with the coaching staff and braintrust that we have now, that's exactly what I expect them to do. -
Reminds me: I remember for a couple of years there Mike Florio kept writing columns trying to get the expected top player in the draft to sit out their last season. Pretty clear case of a guy who's supposed to be covering the news trying to be in the news. Nobody took the bait. Florio is, of course, still an ass.

Mr. Scot replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
Here's a news item that should be scary to fans of good quarterback play... Lottery mentality? Oh hell, no! To be clear, I kind of doubt our team would take that approach. But the idea that any professional team eould take this sort of attitude is just terrible. -
Related... I didn't include this in the excerpts, but the gist of the story is that when Nathaniel Hackett was in Green Bay Aaron Rodgers could be kind of an ass (shocking, I know). The story describes how in many offensive meetings, Matt LaFleur would try to introduce some new offensive concept or idea and if Rodgers didn't like it he'd shoot it down, leading to a lot of conflict, arguing and complications. Hackett didn't want to deal with that kind of bullsh-t in Denver. Unfortunately, his solution was to basically roll over and say "yes sir" to whatever Wilson wanted. You see how that worked out

Agreed. Also don't put him behind Pat Elflein on the depth chart
