  1. Never had been. That said, you don't have to be a genius to repeat what someone said (especially when you probably shouldn't)
  2. From the article... For most people, there’s a sharp difference between things they’ll say publicly, and the things they’ll say privately. Terry Bradshaw is not most people. ... During Fox’s pre-Super Bowl media availability, Vic Lombardi of Altitude Sports Radio in Denver asked Bradshaw a series of questions about his soon-to-be-former Fox colleague, who is now the head coach of the Broncos. “We hung with him,” Bradshaw said, establishing a clear foundation for his basis of knowledge about Payton’s preferences. “We would talk, and he would talk and talk and talk.” And then it slowly started to get more and more interesting. ... “I’d say, ‘You can’t go to Charlotte,'” Bradshaw said. “That’s the NFC South.'” OK, fine. Makes sense. No controversy there. “You can’t go to Houston,” Bradshaw said. “They don’t have a quarterback down there. And you don’t want to be in Houston.” ... But then it got good. Bradshaw was asked about Payton coaching the Cardinals and quarterback Kyler Murray. “He didn’t want to work with that quarterback,” Bradshaw said. And then Lombardi swooped in for the hammer: “He’d rather work with Russ?” “I don’t think so,” Bradshaw said, bursting out a big ol’ Louisiana laugh. “But that’s all he’s got. He’s got no choice. But I’ll tell you one thing. He’ll get the most out of him.” ... Payton truly has a no-lose situation. If Wilson works out, Payton is a hero for turning him around. If Wilson doesn’t work out, it’s not Payton’s fault. And then Payton gets a fresh start with a new quarterback. Other than Kyler Murray, of course. ... There’s a chance Payton is dismayed by Terry’s loose lips. There’s also a chance Payton is pleased that his message was communicated to the work in a way that seemed spontaneous and unintentional.
  3. Fitterer, Morgan, Suleiman, the Teppers and later Kristi Coleman
  4. The names I know are mostly associated with Fitterer or Morgan. I'm planning to look at personnel types associated with Frank Reich.
  5. My understanding was that they liked the work he did. Guess they didn't like it that much
  6. Might be "mission accomplished" then. I don't think there's anyone left who was associated with him. Stewart was up for the GM job when Fitterer got it. If they'd have gone that route, Rhule would have basically been god of that building.
  7. Yeah, noticed that too. Been hoping they'd pull either Lake Dawson from Buffalo or Trent Kirchner from Seattle. Heck, maybe even Jon Robinson or Ryan Cowden.
  8. That was actually my expectation. Felt like Denver went into full court press mode after they lost out in their other choices.
  9. Rapsheet makes a good point... I'd forgotten but there's history there.
  10. Trading for him when you know they've gotta release him...oy
  11. Worth noting though that the offseason didn't exactly go as Payton planned. He thought he'd be able to pick his spot. Instead he ended up with the only team that still wanted him.
  12. That's genuinely possible. Video of Bradshaw...
  13. Don't know how seriously to take Bradshaw as a source, but this could get interesting.
  14. Atlanta interviewed Holcomb. There was word they were interested in Wilks but they named someone else DC without Wilks ever interviewing.
  15. And this from the desk of Jim Irsay... That's some...interesting punctuation
  16. Harris may not be officially settled yet
  17. Are you sure we're still going to be dysfunctional this coming year?
