This is the kind of thing that's likely pushing the buttons... Players love Wilks.

I'm actually kinda concerned with his staffing. Granted, with this group he can't be held responsible for anything other than the changes he made after Matt Rhule was fired, but his staff choices in Arizona for necessarily that great either. Personally, I like Wilks. I think he's a good man and a good leader. It's just a matter of getting it right.

We've talked about the cyclical nature of the NFL before. It's just how it works.

Don't know if it's misleading, but it's certainly confusing It'd help to know what the hell he means.

If you really want ant to talk about paying attention to someone's own words, you should go back and look at the comments Fitterer was making during last year's draft process. He was pretty clearly lobbying for getting a quarterback via the draft rather than just sticking with another veteran project. As to Darnold and the others, aagain, several different sources have confirmed Rhule ran the QB decisions. Would you suggest that people like Charles Robinson, Joe Person, Ellis Williams and others are all collaborating on their story? If not, then I guess the similarities in their reports are because that's what happened. I get that you don't want to hear these thy because they don't suit your narrative, but they're still true.

I get Williams point, but I don't know that I'd use Irsay as an example of what any other NFL owner might do. What I don't get though is what he means in this context by "traditional hire". Does Williams think he might be moving away from the "young offensive mind" thing? (lotta people on here are likely to go apesh-t if he does)

That you would actually expect a GM (or anyone honestly) who doesn't have full control to come out and publicly say they didn't like a player the team acquired is frankly pretty funny.

Guys who were meh in college sometimes becomes NFL stars. Guys who were superstars in college frequently become NFL busts. Personnel work is definitely not an exact science. It's an extremely difficult job.
