Not a cap guy, but as I understand it, bonuses that are spread out accelerate (i.e. they have to be paid all at once) when a player is traded. Sometimes teams agree to take on part of a cap hit either to move the player or acquire him.

We've read stories about guys like McDaniels, McVay, Reid and others making crazy on -the-fly adjustments in games that turned out to be brilliant. Be nice to have someone that could consistently do that sort of thing.

Could be, but I get the impression that while she didn't focus her statement on the Brown, he very well might have. Right now she seems to be trying to cover both her own ass and Baker's (especially after getting calls from both the Panthers and Browns) but for me it's a big "So what? Guys say stuff like that all the time."

Yeah sorry, she's not saying that. I get that's what you want her to be saying, but it isn't. And she did tweet, specifically a statement with no denial of what he said, same as everything else she's spoken. If it weren't true, it'd be very easy to say so. She isn't.

No, she didn't. She did say that she stated some things first, but never claimed he didn't say what was reported. In the same vein, she tweeted this... There's no denial in anything from her that the quote isn't what he said.
