Not sure who threw that, but they didn't do Moore any favors. Better ball placement and that's potentially a catch. -

You laugh now, but you remember who coaches this team, right? -

He's going against Austin Larkin here I think, who from what I remember isn't necessarily all that powerful but is lighter and faster (he'll need to practice against that body type as well as against bigger guys). What I like here is that one, Larkin doesn't outrun him and two, his initial square up was off a little but he successfully made up for it. -
A feeling I can understand... Back in college, I took a kick to the face from a badass black belt in taekwondo class. I distinctly remember seeing his foot coming toward my nose and thinking to myself "I'm about to get kicked in the face". Might have been smarter to actually do something about it, but nope

Yikes! That sounds like something out of a bad movie.

I won't watch it. I have no trouble rewatching 38, but I don't ever want to see even one highlight from 50 again.

Appreciated.

I managed to avoid surgery for the most part. Well, for sports injuries anyway. The aforementioned lawnmower accident cost me half a big toe

I know we've had this discussion once before, but the topic came up again today as we were talking about camp news. How many people here have old sports injuries from football (or whatever sport you played) that still come back every once in a while to remind you of their existence? Tell your story. Just think of it as a walk down memory lane... (via stretcher)

Not me, but my best friend growing up might be able to give you a run for your money. He played quarterback from Pee Wee up through freshman year where he finally had to stop. I don't remember everything he had done, but I do recall he'd had both knees scoped by the time he was in 8th grade.

Football is where I got most of my injuries, though taekwondo, track and mowing my brother's lawn certainly did their share. Don't expect to end up with CTE but the fibromyalgia diagnosis came in some weeks back, so there's that

And if we looked back at just about every single Super Bowl in history, you could find similar plays, especially in recent years. Anymore, playoff officials always tend to be given a "let them play" emphasis from the league. Hell that's even true in the regular season these days. Remember a while back when refs were told to let stuff go unless it was "blatant"? And even there, some people's definition of "blatant" was a lot more loose than others. I get that people are mad about that game, but blaming the refs is silly. Again, this is especially true when you remember that just a few weeks prior, Atlanta had basically given everyone the blueprint for beating us. Mike Shula vs Wade Phillips was already a serious mismatch. Phillips having that game film in his pocket made it all that much worse. But hey, when your favorite team loses, it's rigged, right? Yet always perfectly fair and square when your favorite team wins, of course

Funny thing there is it's been revealed since that the failure to block Miller wasn't necessarily on the coaches. Story came out a few years back that the coaches actually did call for someone to help Mike Remmers block Von Miller, but for reasons known only to God and that player (rumored to have been Mike Tolbert) they just didn't do it. That's a story I would damn well love to hear an explanation for

Some years back, I started a thread asking people to describe their old sports injuries. Turned out a load of us were eligible for PUP
