  1. He's the one who hired all these guys though. And it's also likely he'd have had to approve at least some of their actions. That scenario doesn't really help Tepper look any better.
  2. As I recall, Hart is the guy we plucked from the Steelers. He was supposed to help get things set up in a similar fashion. Feelings about Tepper aside, it really is starting to look like rats deserting a sinking ship.
  3. We're a long way from "iconic" Changes to uniform aesthetics don't bother me. I could see some level of annoyance if they were changing a longtime logo or something like that (though I thought our logo change was an improvement) but changing a color scheme, moving a stripe, switching a font or some such? Not a big deal to me. Add in that for the moment, it's just one game anyway. Heck, if teams never made changes, Cincinnati would still be stuck with those ugly helmets that had the word "BENGALS" on the side rather than the tiger stripes.
  4. The Process... Note: I foresee this video getting a lot of meme type usage
  5. Basically, an extended discussion of the difficulties a quarterback faces when going to a new team late in the offseason. It's mostly common sense stuff, and admittedly valid. The picture that it paints isn't hopeless though. Tannenbaum does acknowledge that Mayfield could conceivably succeed, even if the current situation is challenging.
  6. It's possible. Also possible that nothing needed to happen. Jerry Richardson's first target to coach the Panthers was Joe Gibbs. Gibbs turned it down in part because he knew that if he took the job, he'd go all in and work himself to an absolute frazzle just like he'd done when he coached the Redskins. At that point though, he wanted more time with his family. Kuechly is the same kind of guy, full speed, no quit, balls to the wall from start to finish. Once those guys burn out, it's really hard to relight the flame. And if I recall correctly, he's married now so that makes a difference too. Side Note: How different might our history have been if Gibbs hadn't turned Jerry down
  7. Can't say I ever wore a black helmet, but I absolutely remember helmets being frigging miserable in the middle of July or August
  8. Remind me: Have we won a game with those yet?
  9. Why? To be clear, I'm not a member of the brigade that's been pining for this over the last several years, but I don't really see a problem with it. To be honest, it's kind of a cool look.
  10. There are certainly valid criticisms that can be made against Baker Mayfield. His arm strength is not one of them.
  11. I've said before that I think Luke burned himself out as a player. I also believe he's self-aware enough to know that if he went into coaching, he might wear himself out even more. His comments reflect that. So does the previous foray into scouting that ended with his walking away. That's why I think he won't ever be a coach. And if he is, it'll be strictly an assistant role (like a linebacker coach).
  12. Believe it or not, number five is one of ours (a certain center) From the article... 5) Bradley Bozeman (OC, Carolina Panthers) The Panthers are another team that needed reinforcements on the offensive line, which is why Bradley Bozeman is a nice signing for them. The Panthers also signed Guard Austin Corbett, and drafted Ikem Ekwonu (OT, NC State) in the first round of this past draft. Bozeman signed a 1-year contract worth $2.8 million with some incentives. Carolina seemingly got Bozeman for much cheaper than his recent play suggests he is worth. Since establishing a role for himself with the Ravens in 2019, Bozeman has played in 16 games in each season making him a very durable center for the Panthers.
  13. Don't think anyone needs an NDA for a simple massage. The fact that they gave him one would look pretty bad.
  14. Between the Times article, the settlements and all the other stuff that's come out, if you still believe this is some massive conspiracy against Watson you've gotta be either a delusional Browns fan or an absolute moron.
  15. Florio pointed out and if it came to trial, Watson could be asked to testify under oath about things like whether or not the Texans supplied him with a non-disclosure agreement to give to the women in question or directed him to certain establishments / business people. Pretty sure they didn't want that happening. Hence, the settlements...
  16. Yeah...can't recall too many cases of somebody settling with people who haven't actually sued them yet. That seems to be our best shot at winning things these days.
  17. Yikes Per other reports, to date only one of the woman had actually sued the Texans. The team chose to go ahead and settle with all of those who still could. Florio mentions that there are four lawsuits outstanding against Deshaun Watson but the total number of settlements indicates at least six more are possible. And let me just say again, thank God this mess no longer has anything to do with the Panthers.
  18. The general belief is that Payton wants the Cowboys job. Anything less than a Super Bowl from McCarthy this year, I won't be surprised if he gets it.
  19. My first question as well... I was thinking he was set to retire.
