  1. Trent Dilfer has a Super Bowl ring.
  2. It's a board filter that was instituted a while back. Personally, I think it's kind of overstayed its welcome but...
  3. He looks stupider if we hang on to him and keep losing.
  4. Kinda doubt they're regretting their decision right now.
  5. Calling Switzer a success at the pro level is a stretch. His trophy came in one year with Jimmy Johnson's team and it was nothing but downhill from there.
  6. Wouldn't bet on that having anything to do with a contract extension, honestly.
  7. My worry there is that Tomlin would probably want the same kind of power that Rhule has. I'm thinking we might be wise to get away from that setup.
  8. Probably the latter For my part though, if I could tell him anything, it wouldn't be to listen to me or any other fan. It'd be to listen to football people who are smarter about the game than him. Just having him understand that there are an awful lot of people who fit that description would probably be a good start.
  9. Some folks don't understand the difference between intelligence and aptitude. I've got a friend who could take a computer apart and put it back together blindfolded in the dark with one arm tied behind his back. Suggest that he change the oil in his car himself through and watch his eyes glaze over. Making money in business isn't the same as understanding football. Assuming that just because someone has done one they can also easily do the other shows a lack of understanding.
  10. He's had some... interesting moments tonight
  11. He relished being a villain too They say superhero movies depend on the quality of the villain. Likewise, I always thought the NFL was better when the Raiders were good.
  12. My brother bet me money on that game because he thought I was too young to really understand football. Heh
  13. Whenever someone invokes the old "billionaire equals smart" trope, it's a good time to remember that guys like Daniel Snyder and Woody Johnson are super rich too.
  14. Same. I watched him coach for several years.
  15. There are still good options even if they do, especially at OL coach.
  16. Not when it comes to football. He's actually at the opposite end of that spectrum.
  17. Andy Reid is in a coaching stratosphere that Matt Rhule can't even see, much less join.
  18. Head Coach - Nathaniel Hackett Offensive Coordinator - Greg Olson or Brian Schottenheimer Defensive Coordinator - Jim Schwartz or Gus Bradley Special Teams Coach - Rich Bisaccia Offensive Line Coach - Juan Castillo Lots of other good options available with Hackett...
  19. My first thought was that it's more about what everyone else can see that he can't.
  20. They built the defense like they did the old Colts defenses: undersized, speedy, and geared to exploit teams that had to come from behind because Peyton Manning was always scoring on them. Not really a fan of that model...
  21. Okay, so I haven't listened to Kyle Bailey for a while but I'm having a chance to listen to him some today. Question for people who listen to him more regularly than I do: Is Bailey a Rhule apologist? He sure seems like one right now.
  22. Seeing what we've seen since, I think it'd be pretty interesting to talk to him about his time here and see what he had to say. (about Rhule, in particular)
