  1. FYI: Aaron Wilson is a really good follow for stuff like this.
  2. Re: Watson, Albert Breer kinda called bullsh-t on Mike Florio this morning. From the latest MMQB... The needle may have moved on public discussion of a potential Deshaun Watson trade over the weekend, but the feet of the one man holding the cards have remained planted. And I’m not sure anyone should expect Nick Caserio to move from his stance soon. Aaron Wilson said pretty much the same thing. Sounds like all the hubbub was just Florio doing his usual sh-t stirring. But hey, at least we got an answer on where the Panthers stand.
  3. That one name sounds kinda familiar
  4. They have two weeks till gameday, so there's time.
  5. That's what I figured. If it's anything else, no one's said yet
  6. I don't really buy player jerseys, honestly. The only jerseys I own are personalized with my last name and high school number. (frequently leads to people asking "who was that guy and when did he play?)
  7. No, he didn't. His performance in Preseason 2 was very good.
  8. Walker has been given multiple chances to be an NFL quarterback. None of them panned out.
  9. To replace the other Lawson that they lost...
  10. My guess would be because he's raw and has a lot to learn. Is he physically dominating? Yep. But if he doesn't know the protection schemes and such, he could wind up being a liability. Remember Ryan Kalil telling the story about how, halfway through his rookie season, he felt like he had no clue what he was doing and some of the veterans or chuckling about it? And Ryan was a super smart guy. It's not an easy transition.
  11. It was the Eagles who dropped out when they chose to trade for Minshew instead. We weren't in the negotiations to begin with.
  12. That's what I figured. It made sense with the timing of the Minshew trade.
  13. Meanwhile in Denver... Only preseason of course, but still worth a chuckle
  14. FYI: Florio has indeed acknowledged that the Panthers aren't in on any deal for Watson. Nor is apparently anyone else but the Dolphins and even they apparently think the asking price is too high.
  15. FYI: Per Aaron Wilson, both of the guys who got ragdolled by Brown last night are among the Steelers first cuts. Probably a stretch to say that's a cause and effect thing, but hey...
  16. Throughout a pretty solid portion of the 2003 season, there were multiple people pushing the idea that Chris Weinke should start. As utterly ridiculous as that sounds now, it really happened.
  17. Allbright's not someone I follow as he isn't a great source for Panthers information. But since you mentioned him...
  18. That'd make me think likely Eagles since they just traded for Minshew.
  19. ...or Watson's agent. Of course, now it's the Dolphins story that's picking up steam. Probably worth noting that Charles Robinson is a way better source than Mike Florio.
  20. Actually it pretty much is unanimous except for Florio who's only reporting it as a rumor. (and given the number of people saying the same thing, I won't be surprised if Florio retracts his report)
