  1. I can relate. That's why I was rooting for the Cowboys to draft Johnny Manziel. Imagine the circus that could have been With that said, I find chaos far more entertaining when it's happening to somebody else.
  2. Part of what was going on there too was that the Eagles were insisting on dictating his coaching staff. As far as the coincidence, I think it had a lot to do with Carson Wentz going down the tubes as much as anything. He's resurrecting his career now but for a while he looked just awful. For the record, I always used to hope we'd get Reich.
  3. From a Baptist university to a Catholic university (actually the Catholic university) would be an interesting career path
  4. Having read some deep behind the scenes articles on the Eagles, I'd consider the fact that he won anything there, much less a Super Bowl, borderline miraculous.
  5. That plus there's some pretty solid coaches available in this hiring cycle. Always hate when we miss out. (happens a lot)
  6. Gotcha. Pardon me for just a moment, please...
  7. Yeah, I think you could probably make a comfortable living on what I've seen in these recent contracts
  8. Feldman's a very reliable source. My question would be does he mean it's not happening right now or it's not happening at all
  9. I'd prefer Hackett. I'd be good with Daboll. I'm expecting Rhule
  10. I'd think Greenville but I could be wrong (geography isn't my strong suit). Either way, airport based speculation has along history of being wrong.
  11. Take Daboll, for example. He could come here knowing he's got two solid allies in the front office.
  12. Can't find anything on this guy outside of his Twitter. And man, that name is...ummm, yeah
  13. Twitter is infamously unreliable on these things, but just this once I'd love for them to be right.
  14. Coaches have egos, often massive egos. Plenty of them go into new jobs figuring "Hey, things may be bad now but WAIT TILL THEY HAVE ME COACHING THEM!"
  15. How do you feel about Castillo or Munchak?
  16. Brady's the best possible scapegoat. More to the point though, he's genuinely not good. The OC gig was handed to him way too early.
  17. When they decided they were gonna try to rebuild Darnold, the absolute first priority should have been building a great offensive line. What really sours me on Matt Rhule though is that I think in his mind, he believed that's what he was doing.
  18. I haven't seem him enough. Of the guys I have seen, I like Matt Corral the best. Saw some of Malik Willis, that one's a 'no' for me.
  19. Mentioned some options for that kind of help in the other thread...
  20. The NFL doesn't have any authority over the NCAA. Not sure he'd take Blackburn, but it's also not all that likely the next coach would retain him.
  21. One other OL name I'd consider less likely but possible, Packers Assistant OL Coach Luke Butkus. He was with Seattle for a bit so Fitterer should know him, though he's generally been an assistant OL coach more often that he's been the main guy. And yes, he's related to Bears legend Dick Butkus (nephew).
  22. I'd prefer Pederson. Give me a combo of Pederson, Castillo / Cable / Munchak and Rich Bisaccia and I'll be a happy man.
