A 35 year old tackle who's looking for big money... Not my preference either, but it's not difficult to connect the dots as far as possibilities.
-
I'm not really sure.
-
I haven't seen anybody else say that though. Kunkel is a good source, I just haven't found any corroboration for what he's saying. At least not yet...
-
What team does Brown play for again? Do we know anybody that has connections there?
-
Agreed. I hate using trades for short term fixes. Reading between the lines, it sounds like the staff really doesn't want to move Taylor Moton unless they have to. Moton himself seems fine with the idea, but I think the coaches worry about it being a "robbing Peter to pay Paul" situation.

Will Kunkel said that's who it was, but I haven't seen that from anyone else yet.

Like going 10 for 21?
-
The guy who's about to be indicted by a grand jury while also being the subject of an FBI investigation and who would require crazy trade compensation to acquire? Yeah, sure. I mean what could go wrong?
-
I was thinking of somewhere down the road...
-
Nope
-
Multiple journalists who were actually at the practice say the receivers had a bad day... Random fan who was nowhere near the practice and had no access to it says the coach is just coddling the quarterback... Who to believe...
-
"About" to be indicted...
-
Are we sure he's really new?
-
I guess that's one way of looking at it
-
Well, at least we're not overreacting to a preseason game, right?
-
Season or offseason?

Rhule: Moton is the top RT and second LT behind Erving.

Speaking of left tackle options, I know some folks wanted Teven Jenkins in the draft, but it's not going too well for him so far in Chicago. -
If I have to live with knowing this, so do you
-
That'd be kind of pathetic. Honestly, I always like to think people aren't genuinely dumb enough to believe some of the stupid sh-t that they post on here, but some folks make you wonder.

Took a look back at the original Draft Day trade that netted Greg Little just to see how it shook out... The Panthers obtained the #37 pick that was used to draft Little by trading the #47 and #77 picks to the Seattle Seahawks. With the 47th pick, the Seahawks took defensive back Marquise Blair. Looked him up and reports are that he's having a good camp after being lost to injury last year. Seattle apparently plans to have him as their starting nickel corner. The Seahawks didn't stand pat with the #77 pick though. They wound up trading it along with their fourth rounder (#118) to the Patriots for pick #64. Then with the 64th pick, the Seahawks selected wide receiver DK Metcalf. A little bit thereafter, the Patriots spent the 77th pick on defensive end Chase Winovich. Twenty three spots later, the Panthers selected quarterback Will Grier. ... Probably also worth remembering that the Seattle front office at the time included current Panthers GM Scott Fitterer.

7th round pick for Greg Little is a conditional pick
Mr. Scot replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not that kind of conditional... We get a seventh round pick either way. The "condition" is that since they have two seventh rounders, we get whichever one winds up being higher. Basically, we can't lose. Truthfully, that just makes the deal that Fitterer negotiated even more impressive.- 8 replies
