  1. We're likely now to the point where they're not likely to get any sort of return on Bridgewater regardless because everybody expects them to eventually just cut him.
  2. Turns out the 49ers might not be all that interested. Joe Person did an interview with a San Francisco radio station where he spoke about the Niners inquiry being "preliminary" and "due diligence". Quotes about that and more... "I do think, at this point, you could call it 'preliminary,' 'due diligence,' anything along those lines," Person said on the Tolbert, Krueger & Brooks show. "By the way, there are other teams that have called them. It just happens that the Niners are the only ones that have been identified." Despite the financial obstacles, Person reiterated that he believes San Francisco envisions Bridgewater as a backup and not a replacement for Garoppolo. "Teddy Bridgewater was an excellent backup quarterback in New Orleans," he added. "That's what kind of got him this contract here in Charlotte to see if he could be the guy. It didn't work out all that well last year, and so I think the Panthers, it feels like this bridge is burned here. "... You guy know how this works; if teams all know that you're getting ready to cut a guy, then the Niners, or anybody else, might just sit tight and not bother flipping a couple of ... I think [the Panthers] would be hopeful to get like a mid-round pick or two. ... And again, it might be less than that if the world knows you're getting ready to cut him." Link
  3. He's not trolling. He genuinely believes he knows something everyone else doesn't. That's why he spams it into every thread he can. There's more that could be said but I'll leave it at that for now.
  4. That's already been done earlier in the thread (specifically, Darin Gantt confirming the Stafford trade offer). And to be clear, denying what's been shown to you plainly isn't funny, interesting or effective. It shows you've got nothing to offer.
  5. I think what we knew (specifically that he was underperforming) is enough, no hidden details necessary. And yeah, I guess you could say we "won" this trade but the prize for winning was comparable to one of those cheap plastic trophies you can buy at a novelty store.
  6. Yeah...It was halfway amusing before. Now you've crossed over to just plain stupid.
  7. I'm not sure just how "voluntary" it really was. I know by the time the process was winding down, he was reported to be walking around in a super foul mood saying things like "I don't have to sell this team".
  8. The thing about having one of the top four QBs fall to our pick is that you can't just look at the teams ahead of us. You also have to consider who might trade up. There are an awful lot of teams that need a quarterback right now.
  9. I'd like to believe that no adult is genuinely that stupid. Experience with actual adults has taught me otherwise
  10. It's not "borderline". Our trade offer to Stafford was well reported and documented. Climbing that never happened is delusional as hell. I guess when Teddy gets shipped out or replaced, he'll deny that happened too.
  11. Possible. The league certainly has a history of that. On the flipside: to be fair, they didn't protect Richardson. As a side note, I actually found that funny as hell because I really think he was expecting them to cover for him when he announced his "internal investigation". Imagine his face when he found out they wouldn't
  12. FYI: This story is based on a 130 page report that the NFL says doesn't exist
  13. I'm not sure they even do the Transition Tag anymore.
  14. No. It loses my interest every time because it's pretty much an admission that you've got nothing else to say. Nah. I go back and forth between being amused by him and feeling sorry for him.
  15. The Athletic's Saints writer Jeff Duncan says it's not happening. (not with the Saints, anyway)
  16. Guessing it's because the Jets weren't listed among Wilson's preferred teams.
  17. I was wondering if anybody else remembered that nickname
  18. One thing... Pete Carroll is generally considered to be a fairly easy guy to get along with. Sean Payton? Not so much. Part of me does kinda wonder what might happen if a quarterback who's said he wants a say in roster management went to work under a coach who controls everything.
  19. Pretty much That's's his go to post when he knows he's losing.
