Agreed. You have to look at context. This game was more of a plus for Shane Steichen than a minus for Mike Kafka. Heck, what if Steichen's offense gets shut down next week? Does that disqualify him?
-
The "similarities" you threw out there basically boiled down to "they both used to be offensive coordinators". Using that logic, no team should have hired Sean McVay because Marty Mornhinweg stunk.
-
Pretty sure it's rules.

You didn't get poo'd because he's from here. You got poo'd because your argument against him was dumb.
-
No it doesn't

Doing so against one of the better DCs in the league too...

Changing how the interview is conducted doesn't count as "postponement" to me.

So apparently...not postponed.
-
That oughta do it.

An old friend of ours advancing in the ranks...

Would you bench Purdy for Garoppolo?

Starting with this bit of news... They don't play till tomorrow, but it's relevant. Lady Cowboy Fan is... not happy

I am rooting for the GIANTS tonight and you should too!

I've been told something similar -
That's a qualification I'd agree to if we were talking about Andy Reid. I'm not sure that applies to Payton.

I would root against them to give us an earlier chance at Mike Kafka. Root for them if you'd rather have Shane Steichen. -
In the article, they didn't. In fact if I remember it correctly, they considered it one of the worst offers.

Here's a guy I wish we'd have interviewed Bisaccia and Don Martindale were two guys I liked but didn't figure the Panthers would interview given their reported emphasis.

Person makes a comment I absolutely agree with...

Sean Payton’s Panthers interview is on hold

The goal is for Tepper to be around as Anton Walkes teammates are grieving. There's no ulterior motive to this.- 28 replies

This is absolutely the right call.

I do. And to be fair, I think he's learning. IF he turns around, hires Payton and gives away picks in the process though, I revoke anything good I might have said about him.
