I'd imagine the Vikings story might have embarrassed Harbaugh somewhat. He basically walked into the building like he owned the place. Then when they said "thank you, no" he responded with "well, I didn't really want the job anyway". That's kind of a "yikes" moment to me.

Joe Buck has said repeatedly that the word was coming from the NFL. Albert Breer has characterized it as the league and officials following normal protocol, which more than anything shows they didn't grasp the reality of the situation. That in and of itself is more insensitive than evil. But the league has been trying to rewrite the story, making it one of those situations where the cover up is worse than the act itself.

I didn't. I just put in context what I was quoting (as opposed to your entire post). Now, if you want to say that Moore is a better #2 receiver than a #1, you're not the first or the only person to make that argument. And I'd agree there could be some validity to it. It's kinda hard to say for sure though given that he's about the only threat anybody takes seriously at that spot. Marshall has potential but it's still just that so far.

Their QBs improved under their coaching, much like so many of our players magically improved when Matt Rhule was no longer in charge. Coaching absolutely matters.

As I look at the upcoming search, there's one thing I find myself saying continually... Please don't let Tepper screw this up. We spent the last three years in a state where mediocrity would have been a step up because Tepper had the lamebrained idea to hire a college coach and give him full control. He says he's learned better now, but I still fear what could happen if he gets a wild hair up his ass.

I get Vincent has a job to do, but still...

For his part, John's still a big fan. He has a valid point. I just can't bring myself to jump on that train.
