  1. Basically. But that defense had the advantage that Manning was always putting teams down by a touchdown or two (or three) early so it was more difficult to commit to the run. Bob Sanders was a big factor there too. The difference in that defense with him and without him was night and day.
  2. Official signing hasn't happened yet...
  3. In a WCO attack throwing to Moose and Patrick Jeffers, he was amazing.
  4. And no, I haven't seen pics of his friend's mom
  5. I haven't seen anything that lends credibility to the story. It could be true, but everything I've seen so far has been he said / she said (mostly "she said" because if he's said anything at all, I missed it). But just like the Panther cheerleaders incident, this story is everywhere, largely due to the joke / snarky comment potential.
  6. Heh My "irrational" dislikes are the numbers 1-6. I feel like those should be on specialists like kickers and punters. Quarterbacks should be 7-19. I'm okay with single digits on defensive backs but not a fan of them on linebackers.
  7. Remind me, who were 6 and 15? I'm thinking 6 was Testaverde but I could be wrong. (probably gonna feel dumb if you answer with a name I should have known)
  8. I honestly think retiring numbers is overrated.
  9. Clausen, Weinke and others?
  10. Was about to post this
  11. Kid looks like he came out of his mom weighing 20 pounds
  12. Is the guy who wrote this aware that the salary cap exists? If he mentioned it anywhere in the article, I missed it.
  13. Our buddy Ellis points out that the number 13 represents a "baker's dozen". Hadn't thought about that but...
  14. PJ Walker has 11 at the moment. The other number that's available is 13.
  15. For the record, Mayfield doesn't sound like he's all that heavily tied to #6...
  16. Maybe we just need to sign the kid on the right. He plays defensive tackle. The fact that he's only 14 could make it difficult though
  17. Something like that... I think we can all agree though that Snow isn't going anywhere unless Rhule is fired first. If Wilks were elevated to interim head coach, Al Holcomb (currently listed as assistant head coach for defense) probably gets the DC job.
  18. Still not official. Possibly tomorrow...
  19. Sorry guys, but you can't go retiring every number that belonged to a player you liked. This is one case where I actually agree with Tepper. With all the Hall of Famers in their history, the Steelers could retire a load of numbers, but they don't. Retiring Sam Mills number made sense because Mills was more than just a good player. Newton? Kuechly? Smith? I can see equipment managers holding them back for a few years, but retiring them? Nah.
  20. Talented players? Sure. We had that last year too. What we didn't have was a DC who could effectively counter pro-style adjustments by opposing offenses. We still don't. Snow might get more help from guys like Steve Wilks this year but I think he's in over his head...just like his boss.
