Just my two cents worth about culture. It can absolutely make a difference in wins and losses. With the same group of talent, great culture versus crap culture can make a difference at ANY level. If we had a couple of Thomas Davis/Jake Delhomme type of personalities in that locker room along with a coaching staff that set that standard, we would be several wins better immediately. We would not be championship level due to our lack of talent, but we would certainly be better.

Tepper needs to take a Team Culture 101 class.

Beane worked his way up from towel boy to assistant GM, without having the advantage of playing in the NFL or “knowing people”. That’s pretty darn impressive to me.

Show me any reputable sources that had him being undrafted, which is basically what the folks here bashing Bryce are saying—that he doesn’t being on a roster.

I just keep going back to how all of the experts and mock drafts had Bryce being drafted in the top 5, and 95% had him going #1 or #2. Hard to see how everyone was wrong.

EVERYONE had Bryce at #1 or #2. And that was before the s2 test (although that may well have sealed the deal at #1).

I still think he has a chance to be good. Not worth the trade up (my opinion, only a generational QB would have been worth that but we were starved for a franchise WB). Give him a good O-line, another receiver or two, and some coaching and we will see. Again, not worth the move up but we can’t do anything about that miscue now. The right situation I think he can be ok. I just can’t see how the entire league missed on this pick— that’s mostly what I’m basing this on.

Don't disagree, but it sure is hard to call plays when you your WRs can't separate.

I don't know if Chark ran the wrong route there or if that was that bad of a throw, but either way....yuck.

Our defense is legit. Give us a couple offensive linemen and a receiver.... then if Bryce doesn't look any better we can play Dalton or whoever.

Watch again... that's an absolute trash route he was running before he released when Bryce scrambled. Unless that was called that way, which in that case was genius. He literally jogs out to the spot then releases. Looks like a fumble to me unfortunately.

I swear sometimes I watch this team and think we are only two offensive linemen and a receiver away from being pretty decent, even with Bryce. Because I think Bryce would be serviceable (not great, not what we expect from a #1 pick) with an improved line and another decent receiver. Our defense and special teams are really good (when healthy). But with a terrible offense it is just horrible especially with our lack of depth at almost every position.

Bryce almost NEVER is able to step up in the pocket. Our interior line is so freaking bad.

Oh no, I’m gonna watch it. In the last two months I’ve been laid off from work, had a bad case of COVID, sprained my foot, lost one f my oldest friends, spent several days shuttling family members to the emergency room…. I’m going to watch today to hopefully close the chapter on a miserable stretch of time. Plus when I’m 88 and we finally win a Super Bowl, I can say “I watched every game of that dog-ass 23-24 season”.

I have a friend that is a huge Steelers fan and he told me he would help him pack his van when I said we would take him in Carolina. I guess he feels like they've had the most talented roster in the NFL and Tomlin has underachieved. He needs to be a Panthers fan for a couple weeks lol

Quite a few folks here were labeling him a bust a couple of years ago. Dude has just straight out put in the work and improved so much. Pay him.
