  1. TBH, he might eventually end up a decent backup QB.
  2. Because we love to destroy our own players. It happens when you are historically terrible. Think about how many players over the past few seasons have gotten ripped apart by the fanbase only for them to leave and it be proven it was us that was wrong. poo happens with every awful team. Nothing new.
  3. Maybe so. It would be the first thing he has ever been right about in football, if so.
  4. Mays is a backup player. I do think BC might be the future at C, though. I would argue he was actually better than Corbett.
  5. It is primarily the fault of the NFL who chooses to use college football as a minor league.
  6. Yeah, he is a Day 2 pick, at best.
  7. I don't have a problem handing out more than 1 year contracts. That's just not realistic nor has that likely ever been done in the history of the NFL. I am more concerned about the type of free agents we sign.
  8. Yeah, I mean if you are trying to sell me.on Mac Jones having a much bigger arm than Bryce, I am just not gonna be the guy that buys that. Nor really would almost anyone.
  9. Right. But you do understand that there is no such thing as not signing free agents, right? That's what I mean. So make some good free agency moves and do well in the draft. That's step one. If you can't accomplish that, then this will just keep getting worse.
  10. I mean, Mac Jones has a below average NFL arm too. We are splitting hairs on that account. I meant looks like a valid 2nd/3rd string NFL QB like Mac Jones.
  11. I don't disagree but that doesn't mean we can't sign free agents. I mean, we literally have to do this. Everyone in the NFL does.
  12. Yeah, I mean this is the worst thing to happen to Germany since.....well...listen...I mean....it's as bad as.....well....so have you guys watched any baseball playoffs or whatever??
  13. I was not a fan of the Mingo pick(I was on TMJ). Unfortunately I proved to be right on Mingo. I hope my accuracy is low because I also did not like the XL pick.
  14. I mean....Mingo is about as exact of a TMJ carbon copy as you could imagine. You couldn't nail that it you tried.
  15. I mean....look at what we initially traded for him. I think we are hyperinflating his actual value.
  16. We can't hand out big FA contracts but we also can't sit on our hands. You make a couple of shrewd FA moves and it starts to tilt the scale towards actual rebuild.
  17. You know....I would like to think that is true but we just don't know what this situation would have done to him. Maybe Stroud is struggling and Bryce is looking like early Mac Jones(decent comp, IMO).
  18. He wouldn't have. He would have started here, done as badly or worse, we would have started him even longer as he failed, got injured and worse. He isn't a good QB but he would have been demonstrably worse here as this situation(especially last year) is LIGHT YEARS worse than in Indy. He might be the only QB that could actually have fared worse here than Bryce. This would be a complete nightmare scenario for someone like AR.
  19. Mingo should definitely be behind AT(if he is still here), Coker and XL. He has basically shown he isn't going to develop. Let Coker and XL actually get meaningful reps as they likely have some sort of future here.
  20. Dalton or Flacco for a decent deal should be the move. Russell Wilson will not be available and would be wildly expensive. The rest of those options are not better IMO(Darnold, Winston, etc). Most of that list is #3 QB's. Don't hyperfocus on the future at QB in a weak QB period. Get short term stability and then build an NFL roster over the next few years. We should have multiple top 10 draft picks in the next 4-5 seasons, so there will be ample opportunities to swing at a QB again. If not and we suddenly are able to get good, well then we become an attractive FA option for a QB.
