  1. Not every player responds to that sort of coaching style. This is the biggest nothingburger of all time. Some players prefer a fired up guy that wears his emotions on his sleeve and some want a more calm coach. This has existed since the beginning of coaching and playing. Nothing new here.
  2. Because he was a very inaccurate passer in college and the history of those guys making it is pretty clear. It's possible he could be an outlier but there is a reason you mention Allen, he is really the only one that did turn it around. I don’t bet on outliers. And that is without mentioning that he is primarily a run first decision maker while being injury prone(not good) and that he was(IIRC) the only rookie QB with a lower percentage of deep targets than Young. I was not a big AR fan before the draft and he really did nothing to make me change my mind in year one.
  3. Yeah, the only real fix for that is literally resting it. Well....it's tough to get acclimated while sitting on the bench.
  4. I am gonna guess we aren't gonna see much of BC outside of being a backup, which is really where he will be the most valuable. My guess is they believe in that GB FA signing more. Ikey has to do the work necessary to be great. For all the people saying he should switch to LG, well he is still going to need to work there too. He needs to figure that stuff sooner rather than later or he is gonna be out of the league a lot more quickly than he realizes. Talent can't get you there as a pro football player. Only hard work can.
  5. I predict that he won't be the only question mark on this OL. I am rather skeptical of that unit overhaul.
  6. Not sure about that. The big reason AR is trending bust is health. That isn't going to improve at TE. He isn't only a project but he is injury prone and plays like Cam. Terrible combination.
  7. I am curious to see who the bigger bust will be between Richardson and Young. Could be a very close race.
  8. The owner removing himself from day to day operations is basically the only hope this franchise has. If he does not, we are sunk.
  9. Most early mocks had us projected as top 5 and going QB. I tend to agree. I think we will be in that cycle for at least 6 more seasons.
  10. Agreed. I really hope it collapses so that college athletics can be interesting again.
  11. The king of this is actually Brock Osweiler. The cost per down of his 4 year, $72 mil deal is INSANE
  12. I am nervous. Hope it turns out well.
  13. I was about to say, if Ian Thomas is around none of our TE's has to prove anything.
  14. It's pretty amazing that these large entities pine to make the most money possible but have about 20-30% of their collective payrolls being taken up by utterly useless workers.
  15. You know, having worked for a lot of different large companies, there are a lot of people who need to be replaced with computers.
  16. Oh the unicorns exist. They have a pile of rings.
  17. I mean, it is pretty obvious you are just pining for any above average QB. I get it. Basically the fan version of "battered QB syndrome." Pine after all the non-game changing QB's you want, homie. I ain't stopping you.
  18. Well my personal benchmark for an elite QB is "are you elevating your team or are they elevating you?" Dak doesn't do that.
  19. You are basically making my point for me. Are you going to extol the virtues of having the next Matt Ryan? Carson Palmer? Signing Dak will mead us to success as a franchise, I won't argue that. But he will never lead us(or likely any team) to the success that we really want. Because he is not an elite QB.
  20. Anyone that has watched NFL football for a while should be able to fairly readily see that Dak is not an elite QB. Putting up elite stats on a loaded team is not the same as being an elite QB. Ask 49er fans.
  21. I don't doubt he can pick it all up. We all have doubts about brain to arm when the bullets are real. That is where BY lost most of us. Not to absolve the poo show that was our situation last year but it was very rare to see BY look like a 15 year starting NFL QB.
  22. Yeah, I am not expecting XL to be ready for primetime. Hopefully he will start to carve out a role as the season progresses and avoid the TMJ/Mingo situation of just very clearly showing they are marginal NFL guys.
