I am not super, super, super anti-QB at 6 but I think it's a far riskier gamble than necessary.

It is possible we just don't have a suitor for a trade back. The obvious choices are the teams with two first rounders, as they will be the easiest to pry away. Then you have the fact that this is a weak QB draft, which usually drives up trade prices and possibilities. We will see what happens. If we couldn't move our pick in last years draft with two QB's on the board, I can't see us being able to this year. Either we are asking too much or the suitors are more patient.

Ekwonu also needs some technique some technique work. He can be aggressive to a fault in pass blocking(lunges at defender). I agree, though, the thing I love about him is that NASTY disposition. Reminds me of a more athletic Norwell.

I am not saying dump Henderson or he had a bad game or anything of the sort.......but.....this was a VERY depleted WR corps for the Bucs.

Very pumped to see so many of the top 8 QB's at the event. Should give a bunch of early feedback on who is legit and who is a project.

I have it Neal, Ekwonu and Cross. Neal's upside is just insane and Ekwonu's floor seems very high(top flight LG if nothing else). Cross worries me a little because he seems to have a high bust factor. I do think it is possible he tumbles in the draft if he doesn't do well at the combine.

Yeah but Cooper was genuinely the size of a relatively small center. Those guys do have issues translating unless you are a master technician(Ryan Kalil) or a physical freak of nature(Aaron Donald). I believe Ekwonu is still best suited for OG but Cooper is a bad example only because he was literally way too small to play OT.

This is why so many college HC's fail(and why I laughed so hard at the Urban Meyer initial hire). In college you get to turn it off for periods of the week and a chunk of the offseason(while you delegate recruiting). In the NFL, this poo never stops during the season and doesn't really turn off during the offseason. It's a tough job that requires full attention at all times, not delegating to your staff in the offseason and going golfing for 2-4 months.
