Oh shocker, @iamhubby1 being a little bitch and then @SBBlue coming to defend him. More spooning, gents?

Lance will be the best QB from this draft. They ready talked about how much better he had looked from mini camp to training camp. Everything I heard about him was how much of a chip he has on his shoulder and dedicates himself to improving. I think his intangibles and work ethic will overshadow Lawrence, Wilson and even Fields.

Remember, Urban Meyer.

Carolina Panthers Training Camp - Monday Thread

I am glad to see the tipped passes by Horn and the DL. I don't think we got as many hands on passes last season compared to some previous years. Haven't looked at the data, so it could be perception versus reality. -

Yeah, it was strange to see the guys they rolled through. Not much of BC or Brown. They seem to be on the "Greg Little" part of the OL unit. Well, Daley at least appears to have ascended the ranks, once again. If we can get him to stay healthy maybe he could be an upgrade. -

This is a far worse OL than either of those two units. Hence the concern. This is easily a bottom 5 unit in franchise history. Calm down. Once again, you are getting emotional about a discussion. This message board thing just may not be for you. -

He's a gunslinger. They tend to lean toward those dangerous and sometimes extremely ill advised throws. When it is on, it's great. When it is off, it sucks. -

That seems to be the case from the reports. -

Their own words and actions seem pretty indicative of them not really having a clear plan for him. It seems like they just saw the athleticism and ability then had the idea to try him a few different areas to see the best fit. I don't even necessarily disagree with that thought process had we been in a stronger position along the line in general. So, for us he was a 3rd round project player. Not the best use of a 3rd rounder, IMO. I don't disagree with the idea of having versatile offensive lineman. But you also need to be good at something. Good example being Erving. Has been used at just about every position along the line. Also happened to be pretty bad at most of them. Again, not a bad IDEA but you need to be at least of average quality at some of those positions. I am not giving up on BC yet, I am just have concerns to see him buried so deep on the depth chart when we all know how poor some of the players are ahead of him. It's definitely not what I was expecting. We have to hope the light comes on sooner rather than later because he is one of the few guys on the roster that has a high ceiling. -
I think the source(TeamRankings) I was using included playoffs, hence why he was under 65%. His regular season percentage was 65.7. Completion percentage isn't meaningless. My point being even though he is a gunslinger, which would put him in the bottom portion of the league typically, our scheme is very friendly to QB completion percentage, so we should expect a noticeable improvement in that from Darnold.

That is another rather concerning thing about BC. The staff seems to have a less than clear idea about what they want to do with him. I know they seem very attached to the idea of versatility, which I don't disagree with for depth OL, but I would like to think they had SOME idea of what he was before they drafted him. It seems more like they just like him as an athlete and expected to plug him in wherever they could. That isn't a strategy that will works as easily in the NFL as it does college(where it is rather common). -

Dude, this guy was pure gold. Huddle HOF dumb.

You literally lost the debate so many times during this thread it is fuging amazing. When you read this sober(which I am sure you won't) you will see how you literally couldn't even stay on point from one post to the next. Don't believe me, go back and read it. I did and it made me laugh again.

10.5 rushing attempts per game backs up that Lamar Jackson can't "learn to throw?" I appreciate you continuing to set the dumb bar lower and lower. This is the easiest thrashing I have handed out in weeks.
-
Yeah, facts! You know, the ones that come with no data! Not opinions, facts!
-
You even forgot the discussion points. Epic.
-
This guy is as transparent as they come.

I am just glad your idiocy is now a permanent record in this thread. You can't even make your "personal definition" apply to players you claim to be running versus not. Thanks for the laugh.
-
Now, the definition you have is actually: Taysom Hill. Career pass attempts: 134 Career rushing attempts: 151
-
So, just to show how little idea you have about what you are talking about, these are the career rushing attempts per game for these players that you called "running" and a few you claimed weren't. Lamar Jackson: 10.5 Cam Newton: 7.7 Kyle Murray: 7.1 Josh Allen: 6.8 Michael Vick: 6.1 Russell Wilson: 5.6 The Golden Calf of Bristol: 5.6 Daunte Culpepper: 4.9 Steve Young: 4.3 Donovan McNabb: 3.7 But, by all means, continue to be wrong. I won't stop you.
-
We will find out soon enough.
-
So, how about these guys: Kyler Murray Russell Wilson The Golden Calf of Bristol Steve Young Running QB's?
-
Was Michael Vick a running QB?
-
No QB meets your definition other than Taysom Hill. How about this, was Cam a running QB?
