  1. That's why my blame matrix evolved from 1. Darnold, 2. OL, 3. Brady to only Matt Rhule. It become extremely obvious that Darnold was the issue and I kept saying as much when ALL our receivers were struggling. The film told the story even more, with guys open on so many plays without the ball getting to them. Sam Darnold is and was completely incapable of playing QB in the NFL. Even casual fans knew this. I suspect we are going to see more and more proof of that fact every game in 2021. Also, to all the Cam haters that beat the drums the past few weeks when people kept mentioning him as the best QB available......get ready. This is gonna be tough for you.
  2. Got my tickets(first game all year I have been able to make) and dusted off my Cam jersey. Ready to Keep Pounding these WTF's until the clock hits 00:00.
  3. If we can get Cam up to speed in the next two weeks...this could be Disney movie type poo.
  4. Pickles to Cam was a good one I don't think the fanbase was as energized. Remember that everyone was pining for Luck and he fuged us(or so we thought).
  5. Can you recall a moment in Panthers history that was as low as the Darnold Experiment losses that became as high as the return of Cam and destruction of the Cardinals? I don't remember this kind of low to high jump in any previous season.
  6. Got my Cam jersey ready for next Sunday. Time to put a dick in the WTF's.
  7. The OL actually played pretty well last week too. Sam Darnold just sucks insanely hard.
  8. Yeah, well we will see if he was purely a former player connect or he actually is capable of being an NFL backup QB.
  9. Flying from St. Louis to ATL, then driving to the asshole of the earth GA. Asshole of the earth GA food options are limited, especially on Sunday.
  10. Yeah, then he set it to auto-draft. But, his biggest hits were also in the high probability of a win part of the 1st round.
  11. The problem is that Rhule and Co. don't seem to subscribe to this theory, which is a real problem. How a staff full of highly paid coaches and football experts talked themselves into such an obviously bad player while a third or more of the keyboard warriors on this board could figure out Darnold was a bust, it pretty fuging damning. As many of us have said, when you keep seeing these moves(Darnold, Erving, Elflein, Whitehead, etc) it speaks to an issue Panthers fans have with them.....hubris. They believe they can just identify untapped potential as if they are high school recruits. That doesn't work in the NFL.
  12. The PJ Walker situation is going to be really interesting. Not expecting a win but want to see if we had justification for him being on the roster(or even starting over Darnold).
  13. I wanted him back for that last year because I wanted to believe he wasn't done. The truth is, it wouldn't have helped him much nor would it have helped us much. But, like you said, the decision was amplified by the bad Teddy contract and then the trade/5th year option for Sam fuging Darnold. Hindsight is always tough but it wasn't that hard to not make the bad decisions that we DID make. That is what ended up being so upsetting.
  14. I am assuming this is the 18 month IR?
  15. Unlikely hypothetical but if he is just out there crushing it and commanding the offense, you gotta keep playing the hot hand. But, if we do see that, the questions about the staff's ability to evaluate that position get even louder. You had most of the season you could have started him and didn't. I think after Sunday most will see why he HASN'T been playing and it will anger fans more that he is even on the roster at all.
  16. I think the thing missing most is that Gase wasn't even the OC for Darnold's entire career. One of the 4 Rush guys has repeatedly said something that I agree with. All the discussions around Sam Darnold revolve around excuses why he isn't successful. Bad coaching, bad OL, no weapons, still learning, mono, injuries, etc. Yet, all his flaws he had at USC up until now are still there. Bad turnovers, bad decisions, inability to read the field. That stuff has ALWAYS BEEN PRESENT. So how is it our "braintrust" thought they could see something that was so apparent after so much film and so little improvement? As a friend of mine once quipped, "Potential just means you haven't done poo, yet." Well here we sit almost 4 years into not doing poo. That idea of potential had long since evaporated. I shudder to think about these guys picking QB or OL in the draft. They really don't seem to have any idea what they are doing.
