  1. I have no Heisman Trophy and I have never worked for DoorDash in Tuscaloosa, but I would NOT throw deep to anyone on that fuging lineup today save for Jonathan Mingo. And even then it'd give me pause. Safeties were salivating at the deep ball with 7 in coverage. We're gonna be angry at the OL next Monday when the sack total rises after NO blitzes more.
  2. I liked this play by Young. None of the WRs get separation, and Atlanta's trying to bait Young into throwing the drag to TMJ, so here it looks like he's gonna do it -- instead he looks off and at the last minute, throws to Sanders for 8 yards and a first down
  3. If you're gonna be a finesse, gadget-play offense, you need to use your gadget players and not bunch everyone up together running similar routes. Hell, some of these pass plays looked like they'd never been run in practice.
  4. I counted three (3) "missed" throws, one that could've gone for a TD, one that would've fallen short of the sticks on 3rd down, and one that would've gone for a 1st down. Young started the game 12-18 (67%) for 91 yards, TD, INT, but finished it 8-20 (45%) for 55 yards and an INT. Some other things I noticed: - quick screen to Shenault worked great. Was never run again - Bryce's biggest mistake on his first pick was not taking the 8-yard completion to Mingo - Needs to look Mingo's way more, the 3rd-and-8 pickup was a great play by QB and WR
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs18jn-zj0Q WOW such separation much open
  6. Unlike Tepper, who cuts bait too soon on some things and holds on too long with others, if Reich's proving he's not the answer (tbh my biggest concern is he got the QB he wanted and set up a scheme and roster that sets that QB up to fail), cut bait early.
  7. Did we? I recall FOX Sports NFL giving him the mid-season MVP award before he went down against NO in 2009. He only missed 2 games in his first 4 1/2 seasons. If it weren't for Huddle Hype, I'd forget Horn was even on the team most of the time (because he isn't).
  8. I think that if you really didn't want Bryce Young, you probably are very happy with how things went today -- at least in the sense that your confirmation bias can be displayed. But if you think this team's wideouts were open all game, you simply didn't watch the game and you checked the box score, said "I KNEW IT" and logged onto the Huddle.
  9. Same. Even if he were missing open WRs, I'd look for some of that to be cleaned up within a few weeks. Just as defenses can key on his weaknesses, he can seek out and key on theirs. And sometimes, he'll even have a WR get separation.
  10. It will cost him his job when coupled with the grocery baggers he's given Young to throw to.
  11. I don't really care what other teams are. I care that this team gets better.
  12. If only those assistant coaches could get open.
  13. He is what this team lacks: an affordable power back.
  14. if that's the case no WR other than Mingo should make above $0 this season
  15. You'd take Miles Sanders and Adam Thielen over D'Onta Foreman and DJ Moore?
  16. I'm not sure there's gonna be a Year 3, and that's even as Bryce improves
  17. Any coach is gonna be hard-pressed to win 4 games with this roster, top-to-bottom. I've noticed the angriest people are the usual suspects plus the people who expected 9-10 wins this season. I'm not sure there's 9 wins to be had combined between 2023 and 2024, and that's even as Young improves.
  18. update: in the first half, better than expected it did not exist in the 2nd half
  19. You mean the fourth-year QB who had DJ Moore as his WR1, a defense that allowed 0 points and he threw two picks in the end zone?
  20. I voiced hours ago the fact that what Colts fans said about him were coming true after one possession of regular season play.
  21. Easily my biggest gripe of the offseason was the lack of a power back. Hated that call by the coach and GM to ignore it, and we're gonna pay for it with a lot of 3rd and 1s that lead to failed 4th and 1s (because Reich hates kickers)
  22. I'd say easily the WRs were the worst, because I'm gonna pin most miscommunications on them, as was the case with Cam in 2011. The OL was fine and the pass rush was better than expected. The QB is a rookie who made some nice plays and a few bad ones, and the run defense was as bad as expected. What surprised me more than anything, by FAR, was how often I was saying "What is Frank Reich thinking"
