  1. That in itself means Reich and his coaching staff already failed and need to be fired. Trading your best player and future picks for the right to trade down and land Tim Couch is a sub-Rhulean move.
  2. There’s plenty of picks left. The problem is not one of them matters if the first one is the wrong one.
  3. Getting cute and overthinking it is ingrained in this team’s identity.
  4. Not necessarily. If it’s not Stroud or Young you can stop worrying about winning for the next 10 years.
  5. Paying whatever you have to pay to swing for the fences never fails. Look at Coach of the Year Matt Rhule. By the way, I haven’t seen anyone advocating for signing a vet retread again.
  6. And Shockey. Doesn’t matter for me, personally, though, because if Levis’ name is on that card, I’m out and rooting for Reich to get fired as soon as possible.
  7. Unfortunately, those options are worse than Moore. But props to Chicago. I look for other teams to early offer up trades to the Panthers, because it’s the quickest and cheapest way for them to build talent.
  8. Lmao rebuild and tank for the No. 1 pick that belongs to the Bears. only the Panthers
  9. Not a single available FA is an upgrade to DJ. Fleecerer got fleeced again.
  10. I'll be sure to revisit this thread in the fall and see how you're feeling
  11. Fitterer was hired to turn a team into a perennial contender, and he's already done it. In Chicago
  12. Because they're looking like they're not the A+ coaching staff I thought they were.
  13. I wasn't directly asking you. I'm just pointing out how bad a trade it was.
  14. If Moore's such a replaceable target, why could we not find someone 1/10 as good, and why did Chicago covet him so much?
  15. Go back and try for a different pick, then. Surprised they didn't get him to throw in five more first-rounders, Burns, and the 2015 NFC championship trophy. Once he gets his heart set, you can get whatever you want out of him.
  16. I can have some level of "OK" with either. But they're not gonna be set up to succeed with R. Jay Soward and Ryne Robinson as WR targets. If it isn't one of them, Reich could coach his ass off and 2-15 would still be unattainable.
  17. Picking Levis would make it the worst trade in the history of pro sports. Picking Young would be disappointing, but I'd get it to an extent.
  18. Trading up for Tim Couch/Ryan Leaf is never a 4D chess move. Levis was a reach at 9. At top-3, it's downright velcro shoes.
  19. Giving away all your win-now pieces and very likely getting lose-now and lose-later pieces does not make a team better. Soon as they mentioned Moore, I'd be out. But Fitterer gets convinced of a trade, and the other team knows it can get whatever it wants, because he will always back down.
  20. This thread reminds me of the "We've already won the Darnold trade" after Week 2 of 2021. Gave up the only offensive weapon we have, very may well pick a QB who we could've had without trading up, and collected more dead cap in exchange for the opportunity to do so. It'll either be the trade that makes people cringe, or one that was still a lot but netted the right QB. Either way, good luck to him, because a couple TMJs and a couple Shi Smiths are not gonna be fun targets when camp starts.
