A competent starter would have had 4500 yards and 35 TDs last year.

The Panthers now #7 most cap space in the NFL

I’d like to see the Saints say screw it and try and play while over the cap. What are they gonna do? Cancel their games? Make them forfeit? -

And Fitterer hasn’t even really made one move yet. -

That’s AFTER the dead cap. We’re good to go. -

And that’s with 22 mil in dead money. Sheesh. We’re going to be sitting SO pretty in the near future. -
Supposedly there are multiple teams out there that have Wilson rated higher than Lawrence!

LOL AceBoogie is not a "source" of anything except bullshit.

No way, as I've said previously, David Tepper is my Dad and I have never met you before.

Well, you seemed to be having trouble with what the phrase "in on every deal" actually means - so I thought I would clear it up for you. You're welcome. Some people are so ungrateful....

I believe that might be Verge's twitter....

Well he has a no trade clause so if he does not want to be here, he won't be.

I don't know? You don't think the league as a whole doesn't have billions sitting around in an account somewhere for a rainy day? Are NFL finances really that precarious, where they have one down year, and they cannot keep things afloat without drastically lowering the salary cap?
-
They would still be on the hook for a ton of dead cap even if they trade him.
-
They don't even have to do anything like that. Just keep the cap at the current level. Don't take it down 20-30 mil just for one year - only to have it go up by like 50 mil next year.

Weatherly and Palardy ALSO being released today!

I had not considered that, and that is a very valid point. I wish we did not still have so much dead cap money this year....we might have been able to pull that off if not for all the dead cap. -

I hear you....at this point though, I think re-signing Curtco is a luxury that we cannot afford. Hes going to want at least 8-10 mil a year, and that it too much for what will assuredly be a WR3 on our team. -

Whos going to play Center if we do that? We already need a lot of help on the line, no need to go cutting starters that we already have under contract. -
I cannot believe the NFL is going to lower the cap like that after one down year, which no one on the planet can be held responsible for. Are they not sitting on billions of dollars of cash? Can't they keep the cap normal for one freaking year, so that 75% of the teams in the league don't have to scramble to get under for just one season until it shoots right back up higher than ever before? It just makes no sense to me....

Yeah i messed up. My bad. How do I edit the title of the thread? -
Boy, they sure are clearing out a lot of cap space today.... EDIT: Im an idiot and put Paradis in the title when I meant Palardy. MODs, can you please fix for me?

So where the hell are we supposed to get a QB from then? Are the QB bust rates any higher than any other position drafted in the 1st round? Also, why did you stop at 2016? There have been many stud QBs drafted in the first round since then, who seem to be doing OK with the team that drafted them. 2016 was 5 years ago now - ancient history in the NFL. Moral of the story is that the draft is a crap shoot - regardless of the round and where the player is picked.
