  1. How has Mayfield been entitled the entirety of his football career? Didn't he have to walk on at Texas Tech, and then again walk on at OU? Thats the opposite of entitled.
  2. LOL wtf are you even talking about dude? Corral probably wont even have a helmet for most of the games this season.
  3. I cannot believe it’s actually football season again! And we got a new QB who’s shown he can actually complete a forward pass on a somewhat consistent basis. I don’t know how to act right now.
  4. Jesus, if hes got anything left in the tank, that could be very dangerous. Evans, Godwin and Julio. Yikes.
  5. Yeah, if barring injury, Sam starts another game for us, we fuging riot. And I dont mean Roaring.
  6. I think we all know that this is a QB competition in name only. Baker is going to be QB1, Week 1 versus Cleveland. They would not have made this deal if they were comfortable with Darnold being the starting QB again this year.
  7. He could easily be a 15 sack a year guy if he can improve on actually brining the QB down once he gets to him. He’s gotta lead the league in whiffs.
  8. You think Cams running style is what got him injured? I seem to recall it him 1. Having to chase down a CB after an INT because KB wasn’t paying attention and hustling and 2. A brutal hit on that shoulder by TJ Watt. When did he ever really get hurt rushing?
  9. If anybody truly thinks Sam is starting over Baker week 1 against Cleveland, they need to re-evaluate many things. They got Baker for the express reason that Sam sucks balls. If they trusted Sam to be the starter, there would be no need to trade for Baker.
  10. Lol shocking that normal people are not as blindly doom and gloom as some of the usual suspects around here
  11. And Donald LaFell. Ohhhh weeeee mayne!!
  12. We sure could use him right about now actually. Our LBs are going to be a huge weak link all season. Hopefully Luvu steps into a starting role and plays well.
  13. Just kidding. Somebody had to do it. I’m actually all aboard that hype train this year. I seriously think Baker is gonna be a breath of fresh air for us after the complete dogshit we’ve had under center for the past 4 years or so.
  14. Realistically hes probably the 18-20th best starting QB in the NFL right now. Better than we've had recently...
  15. Trubisky is definitely the starter, at least at the beginning. Jimmy's not, but I'm pretty sure they plan on starting Mariota also at least at the beginning of the year. I dont think Riddler is going to be ready by Week 1.
  16. What do you mean? Almost all of them are slated to be their teams starter this year, with the exception of one of Smith/Lock and Darnold...
  17. Just off the top of my head, I think hes better than Geno Smith/Drew Lock, Sam Darnold, Jared Goff, Mac Jones, Davis Mills, Daniel Jones, Marcus Marriota, Jameis Winston, Mitch Trubisky, Zach Wilson, Jimmy G, Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence. I put him in the Jalen Hurts/Tua/Tannehill/Matt Ryan tier. Middle of the pack, IMO.
  18. Baker is much better than the 28th QB in the NFL, IMO.
  19. poo, you figured me out. Yes, its me guys. Panthers favorite Jonathan Stewart. AMA!
  20. I would be a lot more scared of that if it was his throwing shoulder that he had the injury and operation on. And its REALLY hard to change your throwing mechanics permanently in such a small amount of time. I imagine he will be back to throwing the same as he always has.
  21. There's no debate. Baker is an actual functional starting QB in the NFL. Sam is not. Simple as.
  22. Coming out of college Mayfield was considered elite with the mental side of things. Read the Sports Illustrated draft profile on him that was posted in a previous thread. Lincoln Riley raved about his intelligence and his mental preparation. They gave him some test called the "AIQ", which is pretty much a modern Wonderlic, and he scored in like the top 10% of all the people who have taken the test. So, I don't think intelligence is the issue either. When hes put it all together hes been a great QB. 2020 was a great year for him. His rookie year was very very good. Hes just gotta play consistent.
  23. This dude has got CTE or some poo. This is maybe the most absurd take I have ever seen from a so-called "expert". Like WTF? I seem to recall Baker having like top 5 velocity on his passes coming out of the combine. I think they test those kinda things now, and Mayfield was elite.
