What a great human interest story. How horrible it must have been for Calvin Ridley to live those awful life experiences and thankfully come out on the other side a good person and a great football player. The article shows and impresses the fact that we often never know the ordeals a person has gone through or the heavy burdens they carry.

Bingo!! Your sceniro certainly make good sense and smart logic.

If I am a G.M. and in position to draft Young, I would trade down a few positions and pick up more draft selections if I thought Stroud, Levi or Robinson would be available, depending on which one I liked best, when my team would be on the draft clock.

Confused Why Some Seem to Think We Got Fleeced
KatsAzz replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
If the Panthers get their future franchise QB out this draft, one that will be on the team for years, then I think we all can agree that the price to trade up was small indeed. -
You share my exact concerns pertaining to Young and how durable he will be.

This may be one of, if not the best, move in franchise history. The only QB's on the Panthers roster at the moment are Matt Corral and Jacob Eason. With some degree of certainty about being able to draft one now, the Panthers can view the free agents differently. QB's available next week in free agency include Jimmy Garoppolo, Sam Darnold, Jacoby Brissett, and others.

Confused Why Some Seem to Think We Got Fleeced

Give the slight edge to Stroud over Young for the Panthers at No. 1, with the QB not taken going to Houston, Indianapolis still hoping to get Richardson and Las Vegas still eyeing Levis. So in the end, other than the Texans, the Panthers have done little to shake up the way the QBs should come off the board early. -

MOCK DRAFT: Panthers jump Texans, Colts to draft C.J. Stroud Panthers grade: B The Panthers did give up a lot to jump three teams in particular — the Texans at No. 2 overall, the Colts at No. 4 overall and the Raiders at No. 7 overall. Those were the teams most attached to taking a QB in the top eight picks. Although there are four QBs worth being taken the top 10, the Panthers couldn't afford to let another team get the Bears pick, or otherwise be left out of the mix for Alabama's Bryce Young, Ohio State's C.J. Stroud, Florida'a Anthony Richardson or Kentucky's Will Levis. Given how much GM Scott Fitterer gave up to the Bears — including Moore, who would have been help to a rookie QB — the Panthers must hit on the right pick for new offensive-minded head coach Frank Reich. Based on the kind of system Reich has run plus factoring offensive coordinator Thomas Browns' history with Sean McVay and the Rams, it would suggest they are going after the most polished pocket passer. Give the slight edge to Stroud over Young for No. 1, with the QB not taken going to Houston, Indianapolis still hoping to get Richardson and Las Vegas still eyeing Levis. So in the end, other than the Texans, the Panthers have done little to shake up the way the QBs should come off the board early. The Panthers have decent cap space and need to use it wisely in free agency with their soon-to-be rookie starting QB in mind, especially with a massive shrinkage of their significant draft capital this year and beyond. They still get graded "above-average" for the deal because of how good either Stroud or Young should be as long-term pros, ending their cycle of bridge QBs past the best days of Cam Newton. They just are more handcuffed around the QB to help him win big sooner rather than later. -
I am with you!!! Let's go Canes!!!

Corral bros.... what do we do now?????
KatsAzz replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers selected Corral with the # 94 draft selection in the 3rd rd, of the draft. If they can get that value back in a trade I am for it, otherwise, keep him to develop and see how it turns out, it may surprise us. -
Going on just that, it would seem that the Panthers could be leaning toward Bryce Young but a common sense approach would lead one to think they select C.J. Stroud.

Confused Why Some Seem to Think We Got Fleeced

Now, D.J Moore arrives in Chicago to become quarterback Justin Fields' preferred weapon. Moore is not an upper-echelon elite receiver. He doesn't live in the Justin Jefferson-Tyreek Hill zip code. He's a block over where the up-and-comers reside. Those preparing to upgrade their residency. -

In his last four seasons, Moore has 4,413 receiving yards, which ranks seventh among all NFL receivers. He also ranks 17th out of 84 in yards per route run. He put together three straight 1,100-yard seasons and never caught fewer than 55 balls in a season. -
So... Common Sense Says We're Drafting Stroud... Right????
KatsAzz replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
Having watched C.J. Stroud, I fully agree with you that he’s smooth and has vert accurate, underrated arm strength, as well. -
That is the least of my worries. I realize it seems to become a tradition that Ohio State QB's will be a bust but after watching C.J. Stroud, I honestly believe he has the talent to end that supposed Ohio State QB, bust cycle.

Which QB are you talking about? -
That would be smart thinking and i could see it happening very easy.
