  1. of course i understand and value upside because i'm not a moron. i'm not arguing against drafting more receivers, i'm not arguing against depth, i'm not arguing against having built-in insurance in your depth chart. i'm not even arguing that the panthers have done a particularly good job at that. that post i made was really just an ill-fated attempt at providing a little nuggest of perspective in light of a typically fun huddle meltdown. whoops
  2. yeah nice straw man that i bolded for reference there. not going to even bother with that because i never said anything like that. most teams in the league would have major problems if they lost their number one and two wideouts, that's the whole point. if you want to argue with me on that then that's your problem i guess. whether or not they'd be in better or worse shape than the panthers is immaterial and you're missing the point if you're trying to argue with me over that. if suddenly phillip dorsett and a slot guy were your one and two and the rest of the corps was dudes who've never done anything in the NFL it'd be a problem, upside be damned.
  3. brandon marshall's cap hit is like $9 million this year andre johnson's is $7.5 million the dolphins gave up ellerbe and a third for stills mike wallace carries a damn near $10 million cap hit this year and goes up over $11 million next. so yeah no none of those were going to happen
  4. well, indianapolis is considered one of the deepest teams in the league at wideout. yet, if the colts lost andre johnson for the season and ty hilton had an injured hamstring their top two wideouts would be a first round rookie in dorsett and a slot guy in donte moncrief with vincent brown and duron carter being exchangeable between the 3/4 spots. that's almost as shitty as our 2014 corps. even the teams with awesome position groups would have problems if they lost their top two. there just aren't a ton of teams out there that are stacked 4-5 deep like everyone thinks.
  5. geez how dumb was chip Kelly to cut him and how dumb were the other 31 teams in the league to let him pass through waivers
