  1. part of what makes draft picks what they are is the value. you can potentially net somebody who plays at a high value on a cheap contract. brandon marshall has a reported $7.7 million cap figure on the jets' roster this year. you're not giving up a draft pick and getting a free stud skill position player in return.
  2. so two players is all you've got? get on wikipedia and look up the picks other teams made in those rounds. it's mostly a bunch of crap nobody here has ever heard of. gettleman drafted bene benwikere in the fifth round of last years draft by the way.
  3. the elephant in the room in all this, in spite of all the piss and vinegar over dave gettleman, is that ron rivera has proven that he pretty much can't be trusted to play the best 11. the only reason we made the fuging playoffs in the first place* is because injuries sidelined amini silatolu, nate chandler, and deangelo williams and moves were forced in the secondary. *e: outside of the division being garbage before i get my head ripped off
  4. you guys are going to lose your minds when we draft a DE in the first round
  5. hopefully gettledouche doesn't destroy the panthers further by drafting a bunch of day one automatic contributors again
  6. the division sucked last year, it's true thankfully the panthers were buoyed by the contributions of mike remmers, trai turner, andrew norwell, kelvin benjamin, tre boston, bene benewikere, and kony ealy. all of whom were either signed or drafted by king dipshit dave gettledouche who ruined the panthers and can't run a football team
  7. wasn't rodgers injured a shitload in 2013 with tolzien, flynn, and seneca wallace all getting playing time too e: just looked those three started a combined 7 games in 2013
  8. wouldn't it be funny if he left without signing a contract and then signed somewhere else really, really cheap
  9. i've been here since 2006 honestly, and i'm not kidding here, there might have been less complaining before 2010
  10. nobody important has said anything about it. this would be the biggest news of the entire FA if it was true. 99% sure this is bullshit
  11. wow nice comeback man especially considering he probably was signed to be a wide receiver, didn't start the season as a punt returner, and was only forced into the role once corey brown was injured
  12. does he have any practice squad eligibility left? it's entirely possible that's where he could end up instead of stealing marcus lucas or whoever's reps as the 5th wideout
  13. every team in the league has guys like bersin floating around the bottom of their roster take it easy you big babies
  14. this maybe also says something about the "gettleman burns bridges and players/agents hate him and won't let their clients talk to the panthers" rhetoric you see out of some posters on this site
  15. i hope we draft an equally disappointing player at the bottom of the first this year
  16. there's always that guy reminds me of the people talking about how they weren't impressed with cam's rookie campaign going in to the 2012 season. "well you can bring up the stats all you want but i want wins not stats garbage time not clutch blah blah blah"
  17. that read more like an emotional outburst than a real opinion "bah don't tell me that he was a rookie he dropped some first down balls and well maybe i'm just too old-school and i appreciate the simpler aspects of football (which means my opinion is more valuable and i know more than you) but i wasn't impressed. i also don't want to acknowledge that he did anything worth a poo as a rookie because that would be mean i'd be settling somehow"
  18. kelvin benjamin's rookie campaign: one of disappointment
  19. Well I think elite backs should get paid within reason Ingram has never had a thousand yard season though and he was looking like a bust before 2014
  20. This seems kind of pointless. A rookie or Robinson could replace his production.
