oh, as far the why? Because now isn't then. They had ZERO interest in AT being part of there plan going forward so they let him walkaway. Adding AT now is just about being a one season rental. They have space this year. Vikings won 14 games last year. They are team that expects to win. They are now limping into this season at the WR spot. One starter is suspended. Jettas looking hampered coming in. Could make sense for their 2025. Moving him actually could help both teams with their 2025 goals and he is irrelevant to both after this year. Vikings get a body. We get to put our young bodies in the spot AT hogs up.

I mean, BY has an entire collegiate career and 2 NFL seasons showing what he is on the field and sidelines. I mean, Cam was the same dude at Auburn he was in the pros. Bryce Young is the dude we saw at Bama for the most part (and that's when things were flying high for him).
-
well, my thoughts on AT remain the same. He is occupies too much oxygen. Too many reps that will serve us no real purpose as he is gone after this year. We need to be developing Tmac, XL, Coker, Saunders, etc. So, letting AT go is more about developing the young guys. Also clearing a spot for another young guy to be added. They never should of pulled him back from retirement w/ a thank you paycheck IMO to begin with. The cons of AT outweight the pros for me. I want to develop our young guys.

I mean, you aren't getting much for an old WR who likely is done in the NFL after the next 17 are over. but, for those not wanting to lose a Jimmy Horn type due to the bodies in front of him....it would get him a spot. I mean, the O should be running through Tmac, XL, Coker, Sanders. AT IMO stunts development as he occupies often ideal spots for youngsters to get the ball working the area of the field he does
-
I still think XL offers the biggest overall play potential on the O. Bryce and Canales need to find a way to give him some YAC opportunity that isn't at the LOS.
-
as Joe Person pointed out this am, there is a perfect opportunity to try to trade Adam Theilen (who has no future here) back to the Vikings. Really lean into Hunter tutoring Jimmy Horn and have Horn ready by midseason for slot reps w/ him. I mean it's not like you want Hunter out there run blocking either so both really a pass heavy look WRs
-
that wasn't directed at you. Just the general group thought on Tmac and what is expected. I think if you put up a huddle poll 85+ % would say he is a 1k WR this year and likely the favorite for OROY.
-
based on expectations/talk going on....my huddle bucks are betting on.... the huddle being mad/disappointed Tmac doesn't come out the gates being what the board expects him to be right away XL gets some redemption as he makes more plays than people are expecting.

I mean, everyone can work on it but this team natural vocal leaders with an edge. We know what isn't Bryce's DNA. We have seen the Panthers before try to put that on someone that isn't that. It just doesn't work. And he was the biggest freak ever to put on a Panther uniform and a HOF player. the MAIN reason the org team can't be looking at Bryce to take that on (it's not height).....is Bryce isn't even good at his job yet. That's sort of required. Then add the personality aspect in play.

Even if Cam was making NFL money like he did….he would feel drastically poorer with 8 kids and 3 baby mommas in that pocket
-
How do you keep 6 while cutting Renfrow. Renfrow is the best PR and best pure slot guy on this team right now. No way a well run team keeps Moore and Horn both over him….then again, we are a poorly run team
-
I just don't see how we possibly keep 7 WRs giving we are a pretty mild pass O and strive for balance overall. Think WRs max out at 6. Probably give that spot to a defensive special teamer on coverage units.

1. once you get used to whatever lifestyle bar...change is felt by all. 2. not saying this is the case, but never underestimate the ability for pro athletes to go broke. They go broke at a crazy rate. Even the high earners. Feel like Adrian Peterson was just back in the news about being broke. Cam got like 8 kids and 3 baby mommas. So yeah, he can't provide like he used to back in the day. Math going to math and that ain't gonna be good for Cam.

I think if you lined up every starting QB this season and last season and.....BY is going be one of the lightest repped starting QBs entering the season, both seasons. Which sort of weeds out all the quirks and presents the overall gist of things...which just makes him lightly repped vs the field. I mean, I'm betting on the Jags week 1 to win that game. The starters have gone 3 and out 75% of the time and the one time they didn't was vs backups. BY only has legit chemistry with old man AT. Heck, no one else seeing the field can even run reliable routes the best we can tell yet. Especially in a game setting where things get hectic. I just disagree w/ how Carolina views itself and have since year 2 of Matt Rhule going into seasons. Every preseason we seem to make some pretty head scratching management given what we are Don't have to agree w/ me. I said before the preseason started up what I wanted to see out of this team. I've been pretty consistent since red flags went up year 2 of Matt Rhule. The preseason redflag questions each year have really translated into the season each year. So...I'm just siding w/ the way things have been continuing vs going off the this will be different mindset.

Vikings went 14-3 last season. I think there are basically 3 groups I slot things into. Good QBs (Pro Bowl, Playoff caliber who you can sit to protect). But those QBs often fight the coach. Good overall teams (playoff teams -who you can protect your starting lineup because it’s the big picture machine and everyone do g their part that gets you there) then there are bad teams with questionable QBs….I think not repping these teams is dumb. We fall in this tier. Falcons would be a great example of a team not repping their QB. But it’s also an example of a bad team. Questionable everything. And a team probably doing a lot wrong.
-
That’s largely a list of pro bowl, playoff, etc QBs though…..and them random Penix. I still think our prep of a very young and to date overall a struggling QB is a perplexing approach
-
Joe Burrow just logged more reps tonight plus some than Bryce Young will see this entire preseason.
-
Somehow going 3 and out twice and not competing a single pass…..isn’t earning the need for a 3rd series. To me they earned the entire first half….and then laps around the stadium
-
Morgan wasn’t a random hire. The guy who helped advise Frank Reich on the epic poo show that was the 2023 offense….decided Morgan was the best guy for the job. It’s still pretty comical how we went about things post Frank. Largely just promoted within or kept most folks
-
100%. And people understandably people got tired and bored of that lifestyle. But I think overall, the fanbase largely thought the only real direction was even better and that it was simple. But it's much easier to do worse than Fox/Ron. And we have found that out.

sounds more like a random Tuesday at Tepper's football organization.

Okay, I have now watched his highlights. He is no PJ Walker. I have reversed course, I have now abandoned Perkins and hang my head in shame as I jump back into my position as CEO of the PJ Walker Bandwagon.
-
why isn't Perkins good enough to run scout team? He is a better QB right now than Plummer. He is off a MVP campaign in a pro league. Also, Perkins has been on a NFL scout team before. He also has actually played in a NFL game unlike Plummer. Perkins had one start vs what was the AFC Champion Chiefs. What I am saying is Perkins is basically my family now. He is the great QB hope!
-
I don't think Plummer's PS spot is far fetched at all. Plummer stinks
-
I'm officially retiring my PJ Walker fandom. No more Lavar Ball memes ever again. It was a good ride. But, it's over. Bryce Perkins? I mean, THIS is it. Because EVERYONE knows what time it is! Just imagine this hitting the air at BOA.
