I mean what they uniquely did to the vaunted Texas D is just a fact. Not a feeling. it’s also a fact they were the ACC champs and had nothing to do with who did and didn’t get an at large entry. It’s also a fact no one can be upset about them getting overseeded. So, it’s again, just the wrong team to be upset about.

I mean, Clemson O lit Texas D up with a WR forced to play RB. Did things to the vaunted Texas D no one else has come close to. 7 point game in the 4th at one point. I mean if that is soundly beating the 12 seed….we view football games different. Clemson in theory SHOULD have been the team to get beat the worst given the seeding. still can’t believe we got folks upset about teams that didn’t make it in over the ACC champ lol. Clemson is the last place to go looking for why someone else should of got in

Huh? Clemson to date has given a winner a better run at it than anyone else. Also they happened to do things to that Texas D no one, not a single SEC team, has done all season. Clemson basically is the one loser that wasn’t totally outclassed. They definitely didn’t show up and give people fodder to point at them Clemson was actually seeded properly. They were seeded poorly despite a conference title. Same should have been done for all the other weaker teams despite their titles.

I think you should rank them 1-12. Top 4 get byes. A nod to the old format and making them unique from the rest . Then the rest of the field 5-12 which was added plays each other and into a game vs the top 4.

The byes really are just absurd. I think #12 Clemson would have been favored over some of these bye teams on neutral field…..and that’s not chest thumping that Clemson team as that good got to take the auto byes out of this

ASU might not should have talked that noise about showing the world he is better than Ewers….especially given he wasn’t even going to have his best WR out there

Hot take. Boise State/Penn State and Clemson/ Texas were more entertaining games than probably 40% of the games ever played in the CFP. Some revisionist history has been done about how good playoff games have been because people were buthurt they didn’t get the teams they wanted in

I also bashed the Illinois HC yesterday for what I believed at the time was a scumbag move. I retract that upon further review info. He was calling SC out for what he viewed as a player safety issue on a prior play while his guy was hurt ….and Beamer’s meltdown was a hit dog hollering.

I felt the BSU QB played really well until that pick. Think the load on his shoulders was just too much over time. Kicking game (couple ones) nor Jeanty was there to aid him like would be needed in that type game.

Penn St seemed like a poorly coached team that luckily just had more talent overall to get past them. I don’t watch a lot of Penn St football so maybe that was just a bad day….but their coaching nor QB impressed. Think Boise St had the better coaching and QB play….but just too much of a talent disparity overall on the rosters

Dave Canales must be up in the box calling those passes in. Penn St should do nothing but run. and as I type that Penn throws it and somehow doesn’t get offensive PI.

He trying to do too much IMO. Penn State got different athletes. Sometimes fighting for too much just makes you vulnerable.

Boise State gameplan sucks. Too much Jeanty. Pass game is there. Penn St overly focused on Jeanty. No idea how they can stop Penn State’s O….but I think they can make plays while Penn St overly plays Jeanty

I’m already looking forward to next year. Clemson essentially bringing thr entire band back. Should be actually able to make a real run at something next year. O will be ready. Gamecocks finally up and really threatening. Both QBs should be in early talks of at least being possible Heisman guys to watch. State of South Carolina should have two key national contenders if all goes well next year. Really hoping Belichick can go buy some 1 year rental at QB no one sees coming as well. Maybe that Ewers talk is Bill searching for his future marketing/recruiting example that will do the talking for him. Take some meh draft QB and make him a first rounder year 1. Next college season has me way more excited than NFL

A late round NFL draft QB is likely a CFP QB. It’s going to pay to stay.
