BYU playing like they in the natty. Kitchen sink being thrown at Colorado right now
-
One thing that stinks about the size of conferences…Colorado played none of the top teams in the BIG12 this season. Same for the ACC. Clemson, Miami, SMU never saw each other.
-
2 drives in a row that finish with Travis Hunter going at Sheuder unhappy.

Don’t disagree it likely helps his stock. I just don’t like business decision football. Play or don’t play. I don’t care for half in to get yours football. That’s just me. And I also just dislike these Bowl games for reasons just like that. Cancel all these bowl games then. Add Miami to list of why. Already a billion reasons why they shouldn’t be played. It’s money over football should be.

BYU QB just missed a 70 yarder to house lol.
-
He wanted that record. That’s why he played. Everyone knows that. He got it. Then he sat. That’s called an agreement. if they wanted a good look at Williams…you just play him the full game and give him the reps. Not insert a cold QB into an absurd shootout late. I get it. Like I said, I prefer the old approach. Which basically applied in HS and will again in the NFL. I think a bunch of these college bounce around kids are red flags waiting to happen. Again, not wanting that convo to be just about Cam. It’s bigger than Cam. I still think it’s whack sitting him midway in a shootout.
-
He played just to get his today. Then sat. That ain’t being that dude IMO. Team had 20 pass yards in the second half. That’s hanging the rest that helped him get his out to dry. Just not my preference. Just don’t play then. I hate on Colorado a lot. If those dudes actually finish the season as it sounds they will….I’ll give them props

Season felt like it was just Ward and Restrepo playing catch as Miami gave up 2 billion points no matter the opponent
-
I think this era is going to produce business decision makers the likes we haven’t seen….and that means that will carry forward to the NFL. I like my players like Cam Newton….trying to suit up after breaking his back the same week. I didn’t want him to play then….but I liked they had to fight him not to play. Dudes like Cam can carry and motivate a team beyond what they do on the field. No NFL guys running through a brick wall for a lot of these new era guys IMO
-
I think Cam and Sanders are going to have to sit and reprogram themselves. Both have just gotten way too use of holding the ball and thinking they are good athletes behind the LOS. That might work in the BIG12 and ACC but it’s the recipe to get murdered in the NFL. Both got the talent. But talent ain’t enough. see Caleb Williams.

Cool. Go for the record. That requires playing in the game. He got teammates looking to make themselves look better for next year too. They helped him get his. I just don’t like the mentality. NFL might should start paying more attention to how these QBs are mentally wired IMO. Think that’s going to be a bigger and bigger thing going forward in this era. College era of team jumping for checks and guarantees. I’m not trying to make it just about Cam. Just my general thoughts well beyond him,

Sort of lame. I mean either play or don’t play. All those dudes out their helping him get his… I’ll always favor old school football ways
-
Well, it’s a Miami game so we already know the answer for one side….

Pretty sure Tenn took their game serious boss… while being the biggest clowned team in the college football playoff. That right there should have made Lane Kiffen, YOU, pipe down because the argument ended there. *I’m not making fun of the SEC, it’s making fun of the people who make delusional statements about the SEC.
-
SEC fans: We built different! We should have had all the teams in for the college football playoff! Reality: Biggest embarrassment first round of the CFP? SEC team. other bowl games? SEC losses to AAC conference team.

PFF: grading WR by ability to separate, YAC and catching the ball
CRA replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, the Panthers are the #30 O and the #30 pass O. Basically any rookie WR is going to have built in lower production as a product of being here. While Bryce is improving this pass attack is still very weak and non-threatening (which a lot of that is the QB and playcalling). -

I mean, we had 149 passing yards… Not sure that really highlights that much. XL is just a little raw and looks as such. Which everyone should have expected that to show IMO, I still like the dude. I don’t think the playcalling has been great for him this season. -
NFL is full of dumb humans and egos. I'm surprised we don't hear more about all the issues in house teams deal w/ in today's leak world. I mean, some teams have really kept some nightmare stuff pretty quiet for years.

Carson Beck officially out for the rest of the season.
-
I’m old. This season feels like 3 wrapped up in one. I didn’t look. I just remembered the recent Giants, Panthers, Raiders, etc stuff.

10 years? lol. That's funny. Not sure Tom Brady would survive 10 years on a David Tepper team. Tepper already showed he was cool moving on from Bryce 2 games into year 2. Injury brought Bryce back.
-
Cardinals have a better defense. It's not a good defense. Kyler has meh weapons. Bryce has meh weapons and a great OL. literally every team has hung around with KC this year. It's not an achievement this year to do that. They aren't playing good football. They just can beat teams in the end. Cardinals aren't some great team etiher. But now vastly superior just for the sake of exaggerating Bryce? Tampa isn't even good. There record is built off of beating the bottom 4th of the NFL.

Guess it really comes down to the various differences in the meaning of what is and isn't franchise level QB play. I mean, most people IMO in these talks have different bars of what is and isn't franchise level QB play. Normally it's 2 people with different bars. I mean, I don't think there are many actual franchise QBs. And Bryce certainly in this 8 game stretch hasn't played like the guys I call franchise QBs. He is playing like a serviceable starter in this 8 game stretch.
-
stats sort of tell partial truths though. I mean, two RBs could average 5 yards a carry. That alone doesn't mean they have run similar. Could be vastly different in terms of how they got to that. Those 3 offenses are vastly different on the year and what they ask of the QB.

well, I supported the Panthers taking a swing at QB. I still think that was the right call. But just because you hit a foul ball and didn't get what you thought.....doesn't mean you got to triple down on it and try to manifest it somehow working out. I mean, clearly we missed on what we thought Bryce was/is. Now can he be serviceable? I think so. But there really is little point in pretending he is going to be better than a serviceable starter. Which isn't what the gamble/swing was for.
