  1. #1 priority should be building an OL and QB.
  2. It’s about cost. You can’t over invest in guys who are only pass rushers. Means teams with well built OLs will bully you.
  3. again, if you want to claim a long time reporter is lying about the 20 guys inside have at it. and again, I assume all the Jags reporters were lying too. everyone that is being intellectually honest knows players can’t put their names on the complaints. Arguing they can is just nonsensical.
  4. Last time we took a draft out of a coaches hands was the 2010 draft. I agree we need to do it if Rhule stays. But you essentially end up with a draft class no one coach wanted.
  5. Feel free to argue a long time Panther reporter is lying about the 20 speaking on it…. The Jacksonville reporters were lying too about what everyone inside thought about Urban too…..right?
  6. You have a long time Carolina reporter with 20 sources telling you… and when Rhule is longer the HC (whenever that is)….people will then put their names on it. Which is all pretty standard. and Cam one day will keep it “a buck”. As he told you, he won’t do that right now.
  7. Again, all depends on the price. Being dimensional makes you a double edged sword. you can’t pay those type players like aren’t one dimensional. we are 19th in points allowed. We aren’t the #2 defense. We happen to be ranked 2nd in yardage allowed. If we had the #2 actual defense in the NFL (with a legit HC) like you claim…..we wouldn’t be 2-11 over our last 13 games. Bad offense or not.
  8. Glad you agree Rhule’s college resume was weak and he hasn’t shown diddly in the pros yet.
  9. price matters. So does not being one dimensional. We actually generated decent pressure last season too. Didn’t always equal sacks but the pressure numbers were good. Burns generates pressure. But Burns being so one dimensional matters too. Especially when we look at what to do with him later.
  10. Jags should of kept Urban then. Loyalty and patience. nothing about Rhule career in Carolina or back to college says he can get it done. He college resume was weak too.
  11. Then we should let Reddick walk. He is a one dimensional LB. Too high of odds Rhule would be gone at some point in 2022. A one dimensional LB isn't something that fits every scheme like a Luke or Peppers. Then you have an overpaid LB that might not fit the next scheme to be worth the money.
  12. Even at a discount. Gilmore is one of the top 3 DBs in the game. and we have no offense. Doesn’t make sense to tie cap up in a player like him IMO. That cap and resources should go to building up the roster.
  13. He wouldn’t. He is a DB for hire. And a top 3 one at that rebuilding teams with no QB and OL shouldn’t dump money at guys like that
  14. Depends on the cost. I don’t want a comically overpaid pass rusher at the LB spot. Especially with high odds that we bring in a new staff after 2022.
  15. Every good QB we faced lead their team to 30+ points. and Gilmore makes no sense going forward.
  16. Reddick is a fine player. You really want to see what Matt Rhule will pay an actually good Temple player? I don’t.
  17. What is Matt Rhule best win in Matt Rhule’s entire career? College and pros are all on the table. The hurricane displaced and covid depleted Winston Saints at home that MIGHT finish with a winning record?
  18. Then please post where our D ranks in pts allowed kind sir. Our D is 19th in points allowed https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/team/_/view/defense/table/passing/sort/totalPointsPerGame/dir/asc 19th is the bottom half of the league. 32 teams. But I am open to look at whatever info you got that is counter to that
  19. We technically are #2 in yards allowed. But we are ranked in the bottom half of the league in points allowed. Which makes us not a top defense.
  20. No OC is winning with Sam and this OL and no good OC is coming to work for a lameduck HC that doesn’t belong in the NFL. It’s a one year gig which you are likely to be scapegoated and fired right before Rhule is canned.
  21. The defense can rush the passer. Same as last year. Better at it than last year. But they are one trick ponies. they basically feasted on bad QBs and pass offenses when it gets predictable IMO. we benefited from a weak schedule of opposing QBs IMO. Brady, Allen and Dak all lead teams to over 30+ points on us. Even the Vikings with Cousins pulled of 30+. * now, granted they had no offense at times to help them. Which makes their job hard. So they are good. No doubt if paired with a real offense. But this wasn’t a top 5 Panther D. Too weak vs the basic run game.
  22. Original said The fanbase also seems to back Rhule, as the crowd was cheering for Rhule at the last home game and fans were even chanting that a Charlotte Hornets game this past week. that really is quite the “typo” that spellcheck didn’t catch. Just an alternate universe. Maybe Dr Strange opened up a multiverse or something.
  23. It’s not complicated. If you ask a player to go on record…..they defend their coach. You can’t put anything in that. if Trevor Lawerence was standing at a podium while coached by Urban….he said good things. That what you do. Doesn’t make it true. It wasn’t. Trevor just saying what he had to say. Urban could of been back. So Urban is nothing but good publicly while he is now power if a name is on it
  24. If Rhule is back I’m not buying a seat to a single game. No merch. Nothing. No money going into this nightmare. Same for soccer. Only way fans can communicate. I’m totally cool with building and not winning while that happens. There just isn’t an argument for that happening with Matt Rhule. Wasted time. I’m fine being a general NFL fan for awhile. Fantasy sports, betting and all that already make that easy anyway. I’ll follow Carolina as that is my team. But from afar.
