  1. Find a HC that can get you consistently into the playoffs then. That’s the best odds for a ring. Then it comes down to merely having a good 2-3 games. Anyone can beat anyone in the NFL or have small runs. Saints suck and just abused Tampa. And you see that happen in the playoffs too. See our Super Bowl. We easily should of won on a paper.
  2. no guarantee you get Lawrence if you attempt to tank. and again, you said you would prefer to ride with Sam vs go to the postseason consistently without an Aaron Rodgers type. What happened with the Giants when they went to the postseason 5 out of 7 seasons with meh Eli Manning? Well, they had opportunity for good things to fall their way. you still want to find an Aaron Rodgers. But you can’t just tank for a decade and do that until you land a Aaron Rodgers. Hardly anyone pulls off one of those rare QBs.
  3. Again, until you luck into a once every 20 year type QB…..building a team that can consistently make the playoffs is what football is about. There aren’t 14 Aaron Rodgers each year leading teams to the playoffs. And he has 1 ring despite being the best pure and most talented QB over the last decade. QB play matters. OL play matters. Coaching matters. Building a winning team matters. Getting to the post season matters. so again, you said you would rather have Sam and lose than consistently win and go to the postseason pending you didn’t have an Aaron Rodgers type QB. That makes no sense. I want a winning org. A winning team. Get that and we can nitpick ourselves to make us better. You can’t just be on a never ending search for an Aaron Rodgers and be content with losing until then. You could lose for 20 years with that mindset. If you consistently make the postseason year in and year out…you then have odds of actually winning. College and pros. You want a championship? Find a coach that can consistently get you to the postseason over and over. so yeah, I’ll take consistently going to the postseason as better than….Sam Darnold sucking. Those were the two options given. It’s an easy pick. I mean if you have a meh QB like Eli Manning and keep going to the playoffs over and over? Well, luck and opportunity for good things sometimes happen. Not that Eli is the goal. But until you can find your ideal QB …..not sucking and winning is the goal.
  4. Huh? You hitting the egg nog too hard. Sam is the type QB that implodes your ability to be a winning football team. He shouldn’t be on the field for a team. you said you would rather have Sam over a QB that gets you 10 wins and into the playoffs. I’m saying, consistently getting into the postseason is what matters. That’s opportunity. That’s a chance. The best built team doesn’t win it all most of the time. College or pros. The team that wins it all is the one in the postseason who the most works out for generally. Luck. Good day to have a good day or vice versa. That’s why being a consistent winner with opportunity and chances is so important. once postseason happens? Well, it could just come down to someone having a good to bad day. Simple as that. The best team doesn’t always win in football. Getting to the postseason consistently is what we need.
  5. Well I’ll take going to playoffs every year and having a shot at something…..over just sucking and dreaming. Trying to hit one magical season. you got to get lucky to win it all. got to consistently get to the postseason to have a chance for things to fall your way. The best team and best QB doesn’t always win each season. Getting into the postseason consistently is a massive part of winning a ring. That’s what you need and want. look at college football. You know why Clemson has 2 recent titles? Well, they consistently got to the postseason. Some years they caught breaks and some years they didn’t. But they were a consistent fixture in the playoffs. There best teams didn’t always win. And they weren’t always the best team win they did win. find me a HC/QB that can get to the postseason in 6 out of 8 years. I’ll take that in a heartbeat. That’s opportunity for things to go your way.
  6. You would rather have Sam Darnold....than a QB that can come in and win every year (9 to 11 games) and give us a shot at the playoffs? Winning every year and going to the playoffs is literally what you want to do in the NFL. Super Bowls come down to luck and circumstances. Only have to go back as far as last season to see how Tampa got the lucky bounces needed to make it happen.
  7. there isn't even a single unnamed source referenced in that article that backs the headline.
  8. such a clown. and you know he is losing the locker room. that was evident when he had to go back track in front of the team after throwing Cam under the bus about that RPO vs Buffalo. But but but but what I meant was....it was TOTALLY my fault guys. I'm owning that one. After trashing the dude publically we brought off the couch that actually brough a little life to the team. And you got to think Rhule is becoming well aware that Cam in a couple weeks is bringing more to the team in terms of what NFL football is about than he has in his 2 seasons.
  9. No. There is some truth to what Cam addressed with his dad in that football field interview. Cam is naturally a massive personality and presence. Unless your starting QB is someone like Ryan Fitzpatrick. But a young QB you are trying to develop? to be the guy? Cam to some extent gets in the way of them having the command they need to grow into. Too many people would still be looking to Cam for too much. And Cam would be too much of a leader and rally point.
  10. Well, he ain’t going to treat it like preseason if he plans on playing Sam. Remember, Sam didn’t need preseason play per Matt Rhule. Opposing coaches set up some practices and that was all Sam really needed.
  11. I'm saying Sam sucks worse than Cam Those stats show that Cam has been more productive when on the field than Cam. Break it down on a per snap basis. And Sam had a poo ton of games against defenses ranked in the bottom 4th that should of drastically increased his stats (plus CMC for half his games). Plus Cam actually has areas where he excels at a very high level. Sam doesn't. Sam Darnold sucks. No one should care to ever see him take a field again. Cam should get to ride out this season. Especially the last home game. That's literally what Tepper paid for. But Matt Rhule is going to fug that up too. Like he has everything.
  12. So using this year and last season....is going back too far in the past for you? A this season exclusive? The one where Cam Newton was literally just brought in off his couch? Cam Newton has been more productive per snap than Sam Darnold. Now it's been done. This has nothing to do with being a Cam fan girl or boy lol. Sam Darnold and Matt Rhule suck. Sam Darnold has been the worst QB in the NFL over the last 4 seasons. LMAO. Keep evaluating what? What makes sense is firing Matt Rhule. Ditching every QB on the roster. Finding a new coach to actually start building something and knows what he is doing.
  13. Fun fact of the day. Over the last 2 seasons, Cam Newton has more wins and touchdowns than Sam Darnold.
  14. weird. No McDonalds stuff popping up here. only some self help books about living with a large johnson
  15. Skip does know clowns. He looks at one everyday in the mirror. A clown expert. But a broke clock is right twice a day. Skip is correct.
  16. I believe they are the only two teams that haven't won a home game in the months of October, November or December? I know the Lions, Jets, Jags, etc have all pulled off a couple at home. Atlanta's one in Oct. If Matt Rhule gets fired....Carolina fans not catching a home win since September will be a big factor. That's a LONG time.
  17. Cam Newton is here because David Tepper brought him back. Not becuase of Matt Rhule. I think that is clear at this stage. Literally the very first moment a doctor cleared Sam he is talking about playing Sam Darnold. I also feel like as nonsensical as it would be to play Sam Darnold this week, I think Rhule might be fired if he doesn't win on Sunday. Last home game. Fire Rhule and the shitshow of whatever else happens is all on the road and out of BOA. Matt Rhule is acting like a HC that was given an ultimatium of win this weekend or go. and maybe the ultimatnum wasn't literally beat Tampa or be fired. Maybe it was you have to win a home game after the month of Septmeber.....and this is all that is left. Last win in Bank of America was in September.
  18. thought Holley made some good points in this one about Rhule.
  19. Not quitting on the team. Players and coaches come and go. Quitting on the present day HC and direction? Absolutely. This is professional sports. A NFL HC doesn't get blind and unconditional support. Matt Rhule has given this fanbase no reason to support him after this season. Support isn't just about what the win column says. I'm fine supporting a HC who isn't presently winning. But they still have to provide the fanbase with reasons to be supported. Look at another local sport team. Shane Beamer didn't win this year. Also got stomped by the worst Clemson team in over a decade. BUT there is a reason to be excited about Shane Beamer. Gamecock fans have reasons to be excited about Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks. About what he is bringing to SC. What he might be building. Beamer overachieved this year. Beamer is bringing clear cut new energy. And you are already seeing what that can do. Say what you want about the OU kid....that's a great land for SC. Hard to imagine that happens without the hope Shane Beamer is providing.
  20. the cartoon movie Into the Spiderverse > No Way Home. And the cartoon movie is probably why No Way Home even happened. Because Into the Spiderverse was awesome.
  21. Which has been the Matt Rhule signature in each of his first two seasons. His teams get worse and worse as the year goes on. That's coaching. That's culture. It's why it is impossible to bring him back for a 3rd year.
  22. New Orleans had been displaced by a hurricane for weeks, suffered a ton of injuires and had lost all their coaching staff wtih COVID. The team we played that day was not good. Jets, Hou and THAT NO team was a cake schedule. 3 of the 4. and the one good team Sam faced in that stretch....he had multiple turnovers against (Dallas). Sam also turned the ball over in 3 of the 4 opening games. The one game he didn't turn it over in was Hou. Where he put the ball on the ground multiple times in Hou territory. Just got lucky there. Sam was never good. We just had an easy start to the season. but again, no point to nitpick. Point is nothing about that was excellent. Which is why we have a lost coach.
