  1. Cam gets weird. He is #1 all time in rushing TDs by a QB at 70. Second place is Steve Young with 43. He is #2 all time in rushing yards by a QB only trailing Vick. He needs 711 yards to jump Vick. Which means Cam just needs to log probably 2 more seasons.
  2. 89 and Luke 100% get in. Peppers IMO has the best odds of being put in as a first ballot.
  3. also, the busts get weird. I mean, Mariota vs Manuel for example. Serviceable player vs doesn't belong in the league.
  4. Odds aren't high the entire class busts. Especially Trevor and Fields both busting IMO. I think it is a safe bet at least one of them becomes a legit franchise QB. There college resumes answered a lot more questions IMO than your standard top tier prospect.
  5. Yeah, I think Minshew would be viewed by the players and fans as Darnold competition more so than PJ competition. And I think that is too sensitive of an area for this staff to mess with Menshew
  6. I don’t care about Will Grier getting reps. I’d like our projected OL to get some real game reps. Darnold too. Rhule even went into detail how the practice reps his starters got don’t compare to the preseason game reps. OL isn’t getting cut. Everyone is staying on their feet. backups had a ton of penalties in the game. Starters got to get that worked out too. those guys haven’t earned the games off playoff teams have Horn. I want him to get reps. His game needs work. Preseason is where he should be learning his college grabby play doesn’t translate and where the new lines are drawn. Will Grier can kneel down milk the clock down for all I care lol
  7. We are rebuilding back to back 5 win team. Not a returning playoff team. Reich set the practices up and ran them how he wanted. For his team. Teams like the Colts are resting their starters. Rhule admitted he had no input on how the practices would be set up. He almost bragged about not having any of input. Was weird.
  8. Yep, following the lead of 11 win playoff teams that have different priorities.
  9. Yeah, he showed some real promise IMO. Looked great for a rookie thrown into the mix on a bad team. it isn’t going to happen here though.
  10. Rhule is going to mimic the Ravens.
  11. Matt Moore was a solid backup QB. The problem was asking him to be more than that.
  12. PJ Walker was asked to do his job once. He did it. 1-0. Coming in late in a game you are losing and taking shots to try to get a team back into it instead of just trying to get out of there....I put in a different category. Is PJ Walker great? Nah. Is he a NFL backup QB? Sure. League is full of guys you don't want to be your starter because they aren't good enough. In fact, a mobile guy like PJ is a great backup QB because he can offer a lot in game prep for opponents IMO. My stance remains the same, if you are complaining about PJ Walker. The real issue isn't PJ. It's the dude ahead of him.
  13. I personally think we have two pretty decent backup QBs. and then there is Will Grier.
  14. but would a NFL team still owing rights of a player prohibit them from employment as a non-player elsewhere?
  15. if you are running a NFL camp or a camp for 10 year olds and you happen to be tight with Luke Kuechly....I think you would ask him to swing by.
  16. A miracle might be a bit of a stretch. There is a team in NY that once gave up only 168 total yards.....and still managed to lose. I won't get into too many details about that miracle though.
  17. Luke Kuechly is probably the smartest guy in the room....in a lot of football rooms he walks into. I'm not saying he was forced out. But if you wanted a hypothetical reason of why a brand new and green NFL staff might not love him. That could be a reason.
  18. Gotcha. It was defiantly lucky. Got no problem with that added in
  19. yeah, that wasn't the point I was making at all. just that a super lucky play doesn't always completely void what a player did....and the outcome isn't the same for every player that would have found himself in same lucky scenario. Chubba got lucky. But there was plenty also shown on that play that was Chubba being different than some other RBs we have seen on our roster.
  20. yeah, luck happens. My favorite 89 play is that one where he broke what appeared to be 57 tackles vs Houston and came out of that pile for a long and easy TD. Lot of luck involved. But probably still required 89 to take advantage of that scenario. Despite all that luck, a lot of that was still 89.
