We have the worst roster in the NFL….dudes are on the field because we don’t have anyone. They wouldn’t be contributing on a good roster right now
-
I doubt Bryce has lots of audible authority at this stage. I bet he is just making the check change that Canales gives him based off the look.

Watching my Saints today, got their D in my money league
-
It’s over. O was never there today from the jump.

ball game in Clemson. fug Lousivlle and their cut blocking. Well, I was wrong about Clemson. Thought their O was better than it apparently is. Clemson might take 2 more Ls after this. That’s Gamecocks game being 1 of them
-
I don’t think this is the normal approach. Think they thought their weakened OL couldn’t hang so they consistently have cut blocked all game. Taken 2 freaking DL out with it. And it just has killed the front of Clemson from being able to play……and I don’t blame them for playing cautious and not wanting their knees blown. I wish they would just ban cut blocking. Hope Dabo makes a lot of noise about what BS it is. Specifically as an all game strategy by your whole OL. Maybe not directly after the game (because it’s crying then), but I hope he gets on that soapbox eventually

I freaking hate teams that cut block all freaking game. I can’t recall seeing a team do it to the extent Lousivlle is in a long time. Does it work? Yes. It has worked this game. It totally Impacts how a defensive front plays because they don’t want to get hurt. Has this game. Pretty sure Louisville finally snapped someone’s leg just there. Clemson’s O isn’t doing their job so the L will be on them and the O. They should be good enough to outside them. They ain’t tonight. L is in the O. But for real, fug cut blocking kids all freaking game. It works. To me that cheap and dirty football.
-
Well they play tonight. Too many games actually I want to watch in that window. SMU clearly the surprise of the ACC this year. I still think based on play to date…Clemson gets the nod. They have dominated everyone since that bad UGA 2nd half.
-
Miami asks him every week to do this. Eventually, they are going to lose and it most likely won’t be on Ward. They asking the impossible at a certain point in terms of Ward week in and week out
-
Yep. Every ACC matchup is problematic for Miami. They just aren’t a good team. great QB. Clemson is the best team in the ACC. They would beat Miami 2 out of 3. You might could argue Miami has the highest ceiling on a good day via Ward in a shootout I guess

the argument that Dan Morgan was assistant GM for years while running counter to everything both his bosses signed off on (who look down at him and his staff for info).....is a tough sell. I feel we do a variant of this every year. You aren't this bad...becuase of 1 person. You are this bad because of LOTS of bad people. It was never just Joe Brady. Which is why firing him didn't lead to better offense. It was never just Matt Rhule. It was never just Fitterer. As bad as we are, we need to scorch Earth this puppy and quit letting people who were part of making the mess be the designed folks to lead us out of the mess. when David Tepper and Jim Caldwell found the answer on the roster......it was clear from the jump nothing had really changed.
-
Dan Morgan was our assistant GM for YEARS and Fitterer's right hand man. That's not guilt by association.

I think the Cam-ish window is where so many teams just started pulling from college and letting these guys do what they like and are good at. Because if you take a lot of the talented guys.....they can help a NFL team pretty quick if you cater do what they do well. The RPO/zone read/etc. Heck, you even see the impact in non-youngsters.....a lot of talk of why Massage Watson went from good to garbage as a QB. Well, Houston literally went to Clemson and learned the Clemson O. And now at the Browns, he was asked to do something else.
-
Frankly, I honestly think it's best to really introduce your kids to "their" team in dark times vs great times.
-
I'd give him some weeks in real NFL practice. Getting used to things/speed/etc and back in the feel of football. I'd probably prefer to trot him out after the bye week (pending the rest of the RB is healthy) . That would still be 7 games and near half a season of play. In such a pointless season, I hate to not take your time to setup him for success.

Diontae Johnson had “sigh of relief” when he was traded to Ravens
CRA replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ravens are great running team....with 2 good TEs, almost 2 WRs close to being on track for 1k yards. Johnson was basically a free luxury piece for a team that hopes to win it all this year. Must be nice to a Ravens fan. -
With the first pick, don't draft a QB? Draft a DE? C'mon!
CRA replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
and given we are us... teams probably start reflecting on what a bad general idea it has been to give up a lot to move up for a QB. Almost every young QB is disappointing and some teams have extra burned for giving up a haul. Maybe the Joe Flaccos of the world get more callers and teams opt to stay. I mean, you know nothing is going to work out for us lol -

WRs have been taken #1 before. And #2. And #3. I think the decline in WRs being taken so high.....is the passing rules in today's NFL makes playing the position easier. So there are a lot of WRs that are going to be successful today vs years ago. -

was curious so I looked. NFL history. 6 corners draft in the top 5 in NFL history. Never one drafted in the top 3. -

That's a solid point. But I also wonder, if the league is collectively low balling us and taking that stance given we are pretty well established bad deal makers. -

Tomlin don't like the bologna. And I think it's clear, Johnson was doing things that wouldn't please his coaches in Pitt. Effort and complaints. But his teammates could of still liked him. -

maybe he is generally a good teammate and liked.....maybe Canales couldn't handle him. That IMO seems like a reasonable assumption. Think Sheena or someone basically hinted at that too. His issues in Pitt seemed to of also been more Tomlin related than pure teammate related. and on top of that, rookie HCs sometimes are weird as they try to learn and build there own. I'm 100000% convinced that is why Cam Newton had to go when Rhule came here. Rhule was such a buffoon and ignorant....he didn't want to deal w/ a loud vocal vet who knew stuff. Dionate came from one of the best orgs in all of football. Maybe Canales didn't like his straight talk about there being some issues that he couldn't fix. He can only play WR. Maybe Canales only wants bologna sunshine guys. -
when he drafted Bryce.....the trenches were meh and the skill talent was meh. So, his bad rookie QB ended up in a bad spot....weak OL play, WRs that couldn't get open on their own, and a D that couldn't do basics like stop the run. not sure what he got done right before he made the Bryce mistake.

we are best at tanking when not trying to tank. When we don't try to tank, we tank pretty well. the one time we actually 100% tried to tank.....we played better (fired Rhule and insta-traded CMC). That was Tepper/front office 100% believing they would lose out. They failed to realize just how much of it was Rhule when Wilks stepped in and played some 1960s football and that alone was a 180
