La Canfora on Tepper's desire for Watson/franchise QB
CRA replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
well, by NFL standards, Watson is rich by NFL QB standards Watson is rich he isn't long term NFL QB rich yet he isn't superstar QB rich yet and yeah, the Houston FO definitely cares about the shitshow they have found themselves in and about getting out of it the best way possible. Whick IMO isn't clear. and I do agree Watson would be a landmark case. It would be the NBA arriving. But as I said, it is only a matter of time. It is coming. If it ain't Watson it will be someone soon enough. And I agree most ownership hopes Hou sits Watson and beats him. Well, except for the team that thinks they can land him and win. -

I think CMC is the best RB in the NFL. And JAGs paid pennies did a good job in his absence. Same was seen when Bell sat out. CMC likely had his best individual season of his career in 2019. We won 5 games in 2019. Same amount we won without him this year. Paying RBs is a lesson we never have learned. Yes, CMC is great. Double Trouble was the best duo in the NFL too. But RBs don't actually win you games in the big picture. -

yep, RBs are largely replaceable. CMC is the best RB in the NFL.....and random Mike Davis did a pretty good impersonation of him early on. -

Watson is already rich Houston does have needs. Imagine trying to fill a stadium after covid....and you traded Nuk, JJ walks away and Watson sits. A place no FA wants to go at the moment. Then imagine being an ego maniac....and entire nation is talking about the joke FO/owner situation they created? Entire city, league, and NFL world laughing and pointing at the joke. They might have money. But the folks in Houston got egos. Those got wants. Those folks aren't content w/ having some money. They got a league and nation watching them. the NBA mentality is coming to the NFL. Only a matter of time. Unavoidable. -
easily the top in IMO. I'd like to see a crazier one. QB's at their absolute peak. Jimmy, CMC, Smitty, Olsen vs Cam, Tolbert, LaFell, Dickson.

New Falcons GM calls bringing in quarterbacks "an offseason priority"
CRA replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I personally just don't see it w/ Teddy's contract being what it is. Seems pointless wasting all that cap space on mediocre QBs. You're going to have a 20 million cap hit w/ Teddy and then go pay Mitch? Why? Panthers botched this IMO. We needed to be prepared for the fact Teddy likely would need to do what he was brought in to do.....play 2 seasons while we figure out the QB situation. Bad job by the FO IMO. -

I think we trade down in all honesty. Board going to be obsessed with that Washington game even more so going forward as it gets clearer that the top 4 QBs all go before our #8 pick. I’m mentally preparing for another Teddy season in all honesty. Which will be bad. Because he will know he isn’t wanted and we got no choice. now back to numbing those painful thoughts with delusional Watson posts. -
A straight trade of Watson for CMC? As a maybe?

I had a long talk with my wife about naming our son after the new Panther QB Deshaun Watson. She said no because he is already 10 years old and accustomed to the pointless name we gave him when he was born. What a buzzkill.
-
Short yardage package too. The Camcat. He is still the best short yardage option in the NFL lined up behind C in the game IMO
-
I thought he was whining about a toxic culture and front office Hou was creating since the son’s owner took over the franchise. One where they do boneheaded stuff like give away arguably the best WR in the NFL away for essentially free....

for Lent I'm giving up reading post that doubt Watson to Carolina
-
I've been thinking... Now would the Watson statue go right beside the Sam Mills statue or would we space them out. Maybe put that one on the other side of the stadium. I guess do we have time to think about that though.

so....a site that generally post wrong information....says it isn't happening. Which means, in reality, the opposite of what that site posts is most likely true. So, yeah, it's happening!
-
Not sure how accurate it is...but if you are into leaks and spoilers, apparently stuff on the next episode leaked and the finale. could be bunk but they claim the same account leaked accurate stuff before.

I think his backstory/history is pretty well established. 89 has legit and destructive anger management issues. And that well documented history extends way beyond sucker punching teammates. It is what it is. Now, he clearly is a lot more than his flaws. He clearly attempts and does a lot of really good stuff too. Like most things, it is isn't a black and white discussion in terms of who and what 89 most likely is. Like most things and people, he is in the gray. Flawed. Good and bad.

Questions I’m looking forward to them answering. 1 - the person FBI agent Jimmy went looking for the in the first place. 2. The person Geraldine is going to meet up with to get back in safely 3. What does entering and exiting Wanda’s hex really do to a person. Geraldine’s cells were changed twice. Now Darcy will have that happen. 4. Obviously who is the big bad. Or who is tinkering with Wanda. I guess in theory should could be it with the push of someone. But whoever that is.

well, probably not. Never say never though. We have had some late career GOATS roll through here before.
-
I think he is some weird combo of James Davis and CJ Spiller. Both NFL JAGs. But that combo could work in the NFL. He got legit NFL speed. Probably runs a 4.3 at the combine. Not as shifty as Spiller but runs stronger.

so good. loving this show. I couldn't wait and watched it on my phone at work. Stinks we will just have 3 more.
