The Teppers and Bozemans hosted a Thanksgiving Bash (panthers.com) I mean, charity is charity. But I did find it odd Bozeman was the player face of it all.

Their foundations did work together for the Thanksgiving stuff and all that. Got to think Bozeman did have some Tepper time if you wanted to be conspiracy minded.

maybe... but if pass rushers are king....they hit FA and are available via trade much more often than you would think.

not sure I love that analogy. Tee Higgins is a solid all around WR. He just lacks that special quality that puts him over into that elite tier. Burns isn't a solid all around DE

that stinks. But all things being equal....we are going to have to overpay for needs if they have options. Jags are a more sensible landing spot vs us.

I mean Bozeman is better than a rookie C in 2024. So are plenty of others. Might just have to rent a C for a season If Bryce wasn’t our QB I’d be all for it…. but Bryce had to too rough last year. New O. Too many others struggling on the OL. Rookie C has too high of odds of making it all worse in 2024

That would still be where I put by money in FA. Draft would be all offensive skill positions. not only has Bryce struggled on his own. Now he gets another new offense. Which is never a good thing. And you just flat out go too many others on the OL struggling to learn right now.

Eh, it’s also just a really good WR draft. Lot of mocks have one of the Texas kids there at 33…..and in a less great WR draft that kid wouldn’t go 33rd. He would go higher. I’d rather the Panther dip into FA for OL help. The LAST thing Bryce Young needs is a rookie C trying to figure it out while he is still attempting to. Heck, we got enough already on the line for Bryce trying to figure it out like his LT

Dalton isn’t checking either key box though Box A - young QB that potentially could surprise you Box B - vet that is mentoring your young QB to have success Box C - win now team and a vet who could allow you to still potentially make a run even if your starter goes down He is supposed to be B. But given every highly praised top tier rookie QB he has been the vet in the room for has been a disaster…..I don’t see it worth guessing he is bringing a lot to aid them. I just don’t love him as our backup.

And all Dalton’s teams didn’t suck. He had a losing record with even the Cowboys. We had Bryce Young who sucked. And Dalton had to set an all time high in pass attempts despite playing for century….to give us a normal day. Ever since then the board has boosted him. But he has been pretty bad for a good number of years. a good backup either is young with question marks or just a great tudor. No one working with Bryce Young needs to be around him again this year IMO. Give him a new QB room.

Dalton isn’t actually a high end backup up. We have bumped him up a tier just because he is here. He has seen the field each season over the last 9 years and never had a positive win % in any year.

That’s why you don’t sign Burns. TJ Watt got 80 guaranteed. A dude who racks up 22.5, 19, 15, 14 etc sacks seasons and isn’t horrific against the run. Crosby got 53, Sweat 62 etc giving Burns 90-100 million guaranteed is insane given what a very specific specialist he is and isn’t even insane at that. Guaranteed is all that matters

We lack the offensive talent to field a competitive offense. We have to spend some money on some B and C tier players. If we are trying to grow/salvage a young QB….we got no choice but to spend some on O

Depends you want to talk about him. as an overall player at the position? He probably is just above average. if you want to talk about him only as a speed outside pass rusher? Sure. He is top tier at that one thing. Burns is below average against the run and doesn’t have much diversity in attacking the passer.

Cam Newton came into the league looking like a clean cut GQ model ROY to MVP….. hate was just as strong then as it was when he went into his signature fashion hair/looks.

I never said they were intentionally tanking. But the Tepper Panthers have been tanking since he arrived.

I mean, Benson also cut his kid's off and essentially said they were all dead to him before he made his wife the heir. I'm assuming Tepper has a relatively normal relationship with his kids. I personally think people have gone off the deep end with Nicole. But to each their own.

I think that was really just bad coaches that can't manage a roster. ISM called our OC on that bologna too.
