  1. Think they already voiced they are likely to change the rules for next year….Boise St should have already played. Problem isn’t them in, it’s them getting the bye.
  2. Well, if we can have football….we will cede BBQ to you. But I still like the mustard
  3. I’m already looking forward to next year. Clemson essentially bringing thr entire band back. Should be actually able to make a real run at something next year. O will be ready. Gamecocks finally up and really threatening. Both QBs should be in early talks of at least being possible Heisman guys to watch. State of South Carolina should have two key national contenders if all goes well next year. Really hoping Belichick can go buy some 1 year rental at QB no one sees coming as well. Maybe that Ewers talk is Bill searching for his future marketing/recruiting example that will do the talking for him. Take some meh draft QB and make him a first rounder year 1. Next college season has me way more excited than NFL
  4. A late round NFL draft QB is likely a CFP QB. It’s going to pay to stay.
  5. Well not singling any one team out. But given the collective noise made about the SEC being screwed and the travesty that was committed during the CFP selections…. Kirk Herbstreit and company sort of got left hanging out to dry with the SEC teams not coming in behind it to back up all that talk And yeah, I get players sat that wouldn’t have…..but still for some to holler that loud it sort of needed the I told you so to come with it.
  6. Yeah, no issue with Sanders opting out. Team at least knows going in. Just dipping out because you no longer want to play sort of screws your teammates who cared to play/win. and I wouldn’t want my coach making deals with players to sit halfway through. Play or sit. No half in bologna.
  7. Why play to begin with. I just don’t get the logic.
  8. It’s been pretty bad overall. I still think is fairly even of just being bad. Embarrassing they sell these games as featuring the best refs. You shouldn’t break up and create new crews of guys that don’t work together. Entirely new dynamics within the crew.
  9. I mean to an extent that’s more the tree Canales comes from. Run the ball. Chunk throws. Which is why I was ok with XL. He fit that brand. Bryce really fits something more modern and creative. So he is going to have to adapt if Bryce is back in play. It’s why I wish he would just turn it over to another OC next year.
  10. No real issue with a coach trying to getting under an overall on the day flustered Beamers skin….but using a window because YOU got injured player on the field to do it….might be one of the lamest moves I’ve seen by a HC in some time. So, damn. Now I gotta root for SC the rest of the way here
  11. And for all his flaws, Joe Brady sets up a YAC scheme. It’s the plan. We were top 10 in YAC and Joe Brady is that today as well. Part of the reason we got no YAC is that’s not what Frank or Canales want to do big picture.
  12. Hopefully they settle down and disappear. Felt like high school refs found themselves in the Super Bowl lol
  13. I was rooting for Illinois. Now I’m just rooting for Shane Beamer to have a meltdown on the refs and for the horrible reffing to continue. It’s been both ways. But Illinois technically ahead in terms of getting the bad end of the stick presently. And breaking up crews for the big games has never made logical sense on any level of football. Crews should get games. Not random dudes that don’t work together
  14. Announcers defending bad refereeing now as….nuances differ from conference to conference lol. So of course BIG12 refs will somehow call a game different than SEC or BIG10. Wut?
  15. This Illinois/SC game has some horrific refs. At least replay finally allowed Illinois a TD.
  16. Illinois just got screwed big time. All the way down to the 1 and a “fumble” at the goal. Everyone watching replay agrees it’s either a TD or he is down at the 1….and the refs still give SC the ball/touchback. refs in save the SEC mode early
  17. It’s not team. It’s offense around the QB. Which isn’t just WRs in a vacuum. And New England is worse. And there are several in the ballpark. again, Bryce has the most expensive OL in the NFL. They are good. He has a legit RB to hand it off to. That’s ideal foundation you want every QB to have. New England is worse overall. Raiders presently. Cardinals comparable. then you have teams that hit windows where injuries make windows worse around the QB. When Mike Evans went out for month Tampa wasn’t better around the QB. Present day Saints aren’t better around the QB.
  18. I endorse doing anything that isn't what we have been doing.
  19. I think some of these guys are just being dumb. I would get leaving early if there wasn't money in college football. I mean, are Ewers, Beck, Milroe and all the dudes running off to the NFL really much better than the Cade Klubniks? Cade probably going to make comparable money to their NFL checks this year or better.....and gets to sit and try to work on being a legit draft prospect. I mean Cade could of left to be an UDFA or some random we just like you late rounder too.
  20. just seems more athlete than QB. Which is my favorite type of college QB in reality. But not the pros.
  21. probably should of been picked though right before it. I wouldn't want nothing to do w/ Milroe in a NFL draft it is wasn't mid round.
  22. I mean, props to SC for having a good season and surprising folks. Don't get me wrong. It was a good year. And I have always been pro Beamer despite the poo talk. But the narrative was gassed up at the end just like it was for all SEC to an extent. I mean, the team that finished the season was talked about like they thumping teams on the head to close out the year. SC squeaked by Clemson in the closing minute to win an ugly game. They squeaked by Mizzu in the closing seconds to win another. And they looked meh for a half against Wofford. That was the end of their season. Talking heads were talking like SC was putting folks teeth on the curb. Everyone terrified of them. Gassed up. Everyone on the cusp out there overselling. But that's the name of the game I guess. SEC benefits from having ESPN sell them.
  23. ESPN flat out doing embarrassing work this year for the SEC and Colorado. ESPN basically Fox News/CNN of sports. Herbstreit went from loved to rightfully viewed as a clown this year. But that's what you get when you become a shill.
  24. no no no. The 6th best SEC team is better than the best of every other conference. SEC just built different!
  25. I mean, that basically what they have set out to end though. That's never what NIL was pimped to be. It's just a one way check to play via an outside booster of the school in reality. I think the collective is fine given where we find ourselves. They just need to probably have different tiers of football. Tier 1 with the 20 mil collectives. Then another tier w/ schools with a much smaller collective. and think it eventually needs to sort itself out that if Clemson wants to pay The Citadel to come play a game.....I don't think they count those wins anymore. Only wins from your collective tier should count. I don't know, I change my mind every day. I think they ruined college football largely. It was always flawed but now it's just dumb.
