  1. Depends on Tepper if it's an oops or not. He will probably be seen as the hero by everyone else. A couple more games like that and he doesn't need an excuse out of that house. Maybe play the IR card just to save face and see if they can get a 6th instead of a 7th for him. IDK but it's already justifiable to the masses.
  2. It's happening and Tepper may force it way longer. I tuned out last year because I couldn't watch it and it had to take it's course. This year the excuses are done and something will give eventually. DC isn't an old HC already making retainment plans. I would be thrilled to see him say fug it and bench Young, but again too soon for that.
  3. His O is fine. Nothing ground breaking but it works with a QB that can step up and throw the ball. Geno, baker, it's not a mystery. They also put most of their offseason recourses into building it up. Him as a HC and the state of the team is his biggest issue. That is an entirely different conversation.
  4. Maybe even 6'. I don't know. It's not sub 6'. That is a later pick, toss the dice territory to me.
  5. It turned when it cost them a SB. Guys started to speak up and had to be moved. No one wants to be embarrassed. Johnson is in a contract year. The D will be pissed about how poorly the O is helping. That's where the friction comes from here vs what went down in Seattle. Completely different reasons but it could get ugly here. It's that bad and has been for way too long. Hell they could just give up, not sure we haven't seen a preview of that already.
  6. The small guys have to have enough speed to create space or they are easy meat in the NFL. Even then it's such an uphill battle. Wilson did it until his speed dropped off and he is toast. Murray is all physical and a waste of a 2nd contract, what a waste of great WRs he has had. I don't know what the actual number is but there is a height that is needed to run a full offense. 5'10' isn't it
  7. Yeah it was a marriage built to fail. Rhule year 3 and QB savior #3. I wanted the Baker that left here and not Cleveland, he still wasn't ready then. Add in the other 2 expensive moves they massively failed with there was just so much WTF about it all. I think Wilks was the first step in his rehabilitation. Sitting behind Darnold and OJ when he was the better QB on paper must have been the wakeup call and motivation to get his head out of his butt.
  8. No idea yet and it's still too early for them to make that call. And getting hid on IR is the same thing to me. It's a big test for DC and DM. The mystery is over and I just don't see anyone getting a pass for much longer at this rate.
  9. They just spent 150 million on OGs to run behind, you can even throw behind them or should be able to. Their D needs the O to run a lot this year apparently. They could run behind that line with mediocre QB play. Worse would the team breaking around him. Watch this about Wilson and tell me there is no danger in allowing things to get out of hand with the QB. Link. That was with a QB that could get into the playoffs. I don't think you are taking into account internal pressure last year. Tepper and the game of thrones they had going on. I don't think Reich wanted to play school ball and just checked out when he wasn't allowed to do what he wanted over and over along with all the other things going on personally. At this point why not just play Young another game or two to see if anything changes or can be tweaked and then sit him if not? If an over the hill guy like Dalton can make that offense look good then Young should be done. What they spent on him is moot, sunk cost and doesn't change anything at this point. The deep ball is a joke and he can't hit open guys. The run game can't get going because it was blitz city and any opponent we see should be doing that. He looks good playing his school ball when the D is in prevent/garbage time/gas off the throttle. It literally takes a team like GB last year who couldn't get pressure against that line to make it look like it will work. The real question is when will everyone acknowledge these things and just make the obvious move?
  10. There are no good options and at some point they are going to have to have the obvious conversation they have avoided for more than a year. There were reports Reich wanted to sit him. I don't know what a solid game plan with him would be? Play a very bad team with no secondary or pass rush I guess. The Saints know this team very well but they are not a good team IMO.
  11. The 2019 D was SOFT. Guys just out there getting sacks and avoiding any run responsibilities. Rivera had issues but he also had positives. I still don't think this team has had a great GM or HC yet.
  12. I will hate going into that kind of pick to just watch people who earned it to use. It's beyond ridiculous. Tanking shouldn't be done in week 2, let's talk tanking strategies much later in the year when it all happened organically. This crew has a couple of weeks to work with what they have and then it's going to be hard to not talk about benching Bryce. They are still in early season 'adjust, fix it and didn't prepare' fluff phase.
  13. And miss out on the #1 pick after what they did with the last one...The horrors of watchable football at the expense of them being able blow more draft picks.
  14. I think a QB that can sit in a pocket could get this running game going just fine. I don't think the RBs are special but the running behind that line should be getting 100 yards a game.
  15. He looked like he was getting comfortable in it but yeah it's not like it was amazing from the get go. Still it looked promising. Those checkdowns opened up stuff he could take shots at vs always checking down to CMC after him.
  16. He looked good when they went to an NFL system...then the hit happened. I always wanted Ron to force it way earlier.
  17. I only saw them blitz 5 guys. NO was brining extra and constanly winning against a better line. I have no idea why GB didn't blitz more. Really bad game plan and pressure.
  18. I don't think they try to pull the cord for a few weeks yet unfortunately. I am not sure they will be allowed to do it anyways yet.
  19. He isn't fast enough for that. His runs worked because they were not at all concerned about his ability and they were not blitzing. It also forces the play to one side which the D would just adjust for, takes any help from the oline away and allows an easy blitz (he obviously doesn'thandle CB blitzs well). There isn't a good option and anything you come up with can be put into a corner quickly.
  20. One great offseason and they could be competitive with good coaching. Playoff appearance. That's how the NFL is built. We haven't seen a great offseason in the Tepper error. I don't even think we have sniffed a one good one. It's all ketchup on well done steaks here now.
  21. They took it off the table early I think. Like week 2 or 3? Not sure what he can change tho. Less people blocking as he runs back out of protection? Take one blocker & 1 rusher out of that play and nothing really changes but maybe a 1 yard play?
  22. Baker's biggest enemy from his past was himself. His ego was crushed here and he looks and plays more mature now. His supporting cast also meshes with his play style. Evens bails him out. It's a good setup for him. Both can be true.
