    Lamar has missed 10 regular season games in the past two seasons at the most critical time. His playing style means he most likely won’t have a long career. He would be worth looking at if his contract was reasonable AND we didn’t have to give up 2 1st rounders to get him. The draft picks are a killer.

    The ‘IT’ factor is competitiveness, arm talent, and (most important) intelligence and mental processing speed. The ability to remember what they see on film (think Luke), see and read the field quickly, mentally keep track of receivers and defenders, and make decisions in 2-3 seconds.

    Oh brother… Why is it so hard to understand that 50 mill per year for one oft injured player and losing two 1st round picks will cripple most teams?

    Yep. LJ is on the back end of his career. He’s just not the kind of player that has longevity.

    It’s rare to find high end talent in FA. Guys are let go for a reason. Its also really expensive. It’s virtually impossible to collect players like Burns, Moore, Ikey, and Brown in FA. Both for talent and financial reasons.

    Dumb luck with that 7th round pick is why they are ok.

    This is my primary concern as well. Drafting a good QB is just step 1. Surrounding him with talent is how you develop him and win with him. We can’t do that if we don’t have a 1st round pick until after his 3rd year. We have too many holes in our roster. Remember, QB + HC combos win a SB in their first 5 years together or they never do.

    It depends on what the Bears want. It also depends on what the Texans want. If the Texans really want first dibs, they need to keep another team from jumping in front of them. That means competing for the pick and giving the bears what they want. It’s about competition now, not just pick value. I do agree the Raiders could be one of the three.

    Indy or Detroit will end up with #1. Remember, Detroit has two first rounders this year. One top 10 and one top 20. The second 1st this year is worth more than a future first. Indy wants Young in the worst way.

    Yep. If he is fudging his weight somehow, he won’t pass the eye test.

    Don’t be too eager. QB purgatory is real. You got really lucky moving from Farve to Rogers. Odds are that won’t happen again.

    AR needs to sit for a year and work on mechanics etc. I don’t know where he’ll go, but I doubt he goes to someone who needs a starter this year. The lions could be the destination.

    Our GM calls about everyone. The media hasn’t completely caught on to that yet. We don’t really have the money for him nor do we really want a stop gap QB who may or may not retire at any time. Rodgers is the kind of guy who would 100% pull a Luck.

    Wouldn’t Corral be that dev QB? Why waste a pick on another day 2/3 unknown?

    If they really are keying in on Richardson, it is because they think they can fix his accuracy issues AND because they don’t think they have a shot at the other guys. I said a few days ago in another thread, that I think they are looking at a scenario of Carr/Darnold + Richardson/Hooker. That feels somewhat realistic to me.
