  1. That’s all people are saying on WFANZ. Honestly, who has the best resume to bring along a rookie QB?
  2. Let’s be honest. Outside of Payton, all options were underwhelming. Some young inexperienced OC’s were way overhyped. Im just glad we’re not looking at Dan Quinn.
  3. I want to be excited about Reich, but he blew it in Indy. Bad hire but I 100% see how him and Wilks are probably the best options right now.
  4. If you look at the wide video, they were setting up a wall of guys on the left side of the field. Dak threw it to the wrong guy I guess.
  5. Moved on. He’s no longer being considered.
  6. Reich lived in CLT for a good while, his kids still live here, etc. He wants to be here in some capacity. I could see him taking an OC role.
  7. Well, Rhule things Wilks is ‘Elite’. That settles that boys.
  8. I’m not sure Purdy was a poor prospect. He was just overlooked. Some had him going Day 3. This YouTuber was raving about him pre-draft. But yes, coaching is a big factor here.
  9. Sounds like Payton has made up his mind.
  10. I’d rather have Wilks If it was a choice between the two.
  11. People’s perceptions are so funny. The Charlotte metro area has 400k more people than the Vegas metro area.
  12. I know, but these young OC’s have time to wait for the right opportunity if they want. Most only get one shot. Maybe they feel like waiting for the chargers job next year is a better idea.
  13. Look at the situation from their side. You can’t succeed without a QB. Anyone who takes this job will live or die by the QB they pick this spring. The chance for success is low and Tepper’s expectations are high.
  14. I’m sure they are, and that should be punished when proven. Either way, kids will make decisions based on how much they can get. They will go somewhere else if a deal falls through or something Better pops ups. As soon as they introduced money into the equation, it was always going to be about the money. Even if players can’t sign deals until after they join the team, kids will still choose schools with the reputation of boosters giving big deals. A pay for play system is always going to be here in some form. There is no way you can get these young kids from poor backgrounds to not prioritize that.
  15. What’s shady about it? The school isn’t doing it. Boosters are allowed to offer NIL deals. Students will naturally make decisions based on those offers. If that offer goes away, the student will naturally look elsewhere. Yes, all of these ‘students’ are now for sale. When so many of these kids come from disadvantaged backgrounds, money will always be the main thing.
  16. She’s co-owner of the team. Of course she is going to be part of this. That happens on every team. Half the Walton family just met with Russell Wilson to tell him to be a better teammate. Team owners always have their say.
  17. Doesn’t have to be one guy. What if some corp thinks it would be great if all the starters on a natty winning team repped their stuff? They pick a school, giv’em $100 mill, and buy the best team money can buy. Going a step further, players could band together and sell their services as a group. The possibilities are endless.
  18. Well, we’d still have Hurney if the old man were still here. Hurney and practicing in ballrooms when it rains.
