It's an interesting look back. Overall consensus was Bryce was the guy but it seems like majority would have been happy with whatever we did. I do find it funny that the biggest knock against Bryce was his durability and he was the most durable of the top 4 QBs taken. I have no idea how good Bryce Young actually is though, because Reich and co did such a horrible job with everyone on offense.

This is honestly such a nothingburger to me. Why waste our time on people who don't want the job?

I don't know because I have no idea what all Morgan has done in house. I personally wouldn't mind a house cleaning, but I don't want it to be a throwing the baby out with the bathwater situation like Brandon Bean where we didn't know what we had until he was gone.

I honestly have no idea how bad Bryce actually was this year. The line couldn't block and the receivers couldn't get open. The scheme Reich implemented was not a fit for literally anyone on the roster not named Adam Thielen - it made everyone look bad - it wasn't just Bryce and it wasn't just because of Bryce. Next year we'll see what we actually have with the kid. If he continues to not be able to put up stats, lick our wounds, move on for the 2025 draft. I cannot in good faith label him a complete bust based on the dysfunction that was our offense this year.

So it seems to be no one's fault because everyone else made the decisions and everyone listened to everyone else. That means you can't blame ______ Fill in the blank - Reich, Fitterer, Tepper, Brown, McCown, Staley..... It really seems people are doing their damndest to make Scott and Reich not look incompetent for what happened this season just because they are nice guys. Fact is, we put together the worst roster and worst team of the year and we don't even have a first round pick to show for it. That is failure top to bottom and EVERYONE needed to go. I don't care if Tepper is there to voice his opinion on matters - it makes sense, he's the owner. If the guys he hires don't have the testicular fortitude to disagree with the owner because they actually know better, then I don't want them in the FO.

I hated having Hurney as our GM after 09. The game just passed him by. Having said that, I would hire him as a "First round Consultant" in a heartbeat. Nothing more. No input on the second round guys who "Had a first round grade" because those guys always suck for us too. First Round Consultant, that's it.

That I don't know and is the big question. Is he a McVay/Shannahan style young wunderkind or an Arthur Smith/Josh McDaniels egomaniac?

Ben Johnson makes that offense go. Dan is the hype man that brings the whole team together.

He honestly might retire. Wish him nothing but the best in his future, whatever he chooses. Ron was good people, but it was time when we did it, and time for the commies to do it.

It's comical how badly all of his decisions have ended up being during his term as GM. Seemed like a good dude, I don't want him anywhere near the team ever again.

What if Tepper was originally leaning towards Stroud, but then Morgan came in like "No, Bryce Young"? Do we want that Guy telling us no?

I am not throwing in the towel on the kid yet because there was so much absolute trash surrounding the offense as a whole, but I will want to see more out of him next season with a better offensive mind at the helm who isn't trying to run a mid-2000's scheme for 6'5 Statues behind center. Also, sure would be nice to get some receivers who can separate, and at bare minimum, know how to line up pre-snap. Overall, F season for everyone on offense not named Adam Thielen, Taylor Moton, or Chuba Hubbard who get a B+, B, and C+ from me respectively.

I understand this line of thinking, but the more you look into anything you spend your money on in this world you can find 500 human rights violations on the way down. I get there are different levels of separation to it and we should all try to be better, but there's blood on all our hands.

We are at rock bottom and still digging as a franchise and it looks like next year is going to absolutely suck regardless of what happens this offseason. We all assume the worst for next year, so what would need to happen for you to actually care/be invested/ want to tune in to any games next season? What moves in the FO need to happen? Who do we hire at HC? What players do we keep and what players do we get rid of? What positions do we go after in the draft and FA? I'm interested to know, because I myself honestly don't know what it would take for me to care about next year. My apathy is at an all-time high and I expect another abysmal year if Fitterer is still in charge of our roster.

I think as a fanbase, I'd have more patience with a first time HC who was growing with the team than I would with an established HC who's experience is supposed to help the team look better from the jump (Like Reich)

We all hated Rhule. We all wanted Hurney Gone. Back in the day we all wanted Fox gone. This is the first time we've all been unified in hating someone we can't possibly get rid of.

I honestly have no idea about how he handles people. All we hear about is how he's a football savant and the next Kyle Shannahan. No idea if he can manage people like Shannahan does. All I hear from Lions fans is that he's a giant asshole who kicks puppies and poisoned the local water supply, but that's all in jest because they don't want to lose the best coordinator they've had in decades.

The "Leader of men" trope is kind of cringy these days. Reeks of "Back in my day, we did it right" energy. You don't need a leader of men, you just need a leader. You can lead in multiple ways. You can be a Rah Rah hype guy like Cam Newton/Dan Campbell, you can be a stoic even keeled guy who doesn't get flustered like Julius Peppers/Bill Belichick, or you can be a damn savant who just gets how things work, so people listen to what you say because they know you know your poo like Sean McVay/Luke Kuechly. A great leader needs to be strong in their convictions, but be flexible to change when necessary; able to manage people from all walks of life, and understand what needs to happen to get the job done. Being an X's and O's savant is a huge bonus, but those are the Belichicks, Shannahans, and McVays of the NFL and few and far between. Rhule didn't know how to coach grown-ups and tried to lord over them. Same issues Josh McDaniels seems to have wherever he is the HC. They act like gods to be worshiped, not coaches that respect their players as Men. Reich was a pushover, so it lead to disarray throughout both the Colts and Panthers - Colts had players gambling in the facility and missing meetings with no punishment, with the Panthers he was so stubborn with his offense that had become completely outdated in the modern NFL. Rivera was a good leader, but too stubborn and set in his ways which was his downfall here and seems to be the same issue up in Washington. It's hard to hire a guy who hits all the requirements of a great leader, that's why there are so few truly great coaches in the NFL.

We can just restructure and extend Moton. There's no need to ship him off. He's been the best player on our line for the better part of a decade now.

This offense looks night and day different with Brown actually running it though. There is so much pre snap motion, RPOs, PA passes, and allowing Bryce out into space the past few games - none of that was showing up earlier in the year. I really think the game just passed Reich by.

AB was an ass way before the playoff hit, people just didn't realize it. But they draft really talented guys, just a ton tend to be headcases.
