  1. He played fine today. 3 TDs and 0 TOs. You also are ignoring his rushing yards. Our offense scored 36 points. Yeah Chuba was the game plan today but our whole offense played well.
  2. Wallace from what I have seen still over pursues the ball carrier quite a bit. He wasn’t suppose to play this year and I think his issues are coachable. He has a lot of raw talent.
  3. We beat a team that is considered better than us. It’s a confidence booster for this team. It helps them believe in what the staff is coaching. Again there really isn’t some premier player in this draft. I’ll take the wins. I hope we win the next 2 as well. The Cards were playing for a playoff spot and we outplayed them. That’s something to build on.
  4. And we just started playing competitive football. Now look we beat a decent team. We can celebrate winning, it will be ok…
  5. As fans we can hope for whatever we please. You don’t get to dictate what we want. Clearly a majority of us wanted a win…
  6. It’s so crazy. If we had a shot for pick 1 and there was some generational player there then yeah maybe I could get behind the draft position argument. I’d say most GMs and coaches aren’t diving into the draft right now. They are trying to win games.
  7. So bad teams should intentionally not win games that are winnable to get a better draft position? You can’t expect players on that team to be ok with this. They want to win, they want to look as good as possible to make as much money as possible. If we want to be a good team the first step is to have the good team mindset and not throw games for a better pick. I’m sorry but that is nonsense to me.
  8. 8 total tackles, a sack, a PD. He was one of the few I saw stop Conner in his tracks. Solid start for an undrafted rookie.
  9. I just gave you an example with the Lions. We were so a win after playing all those close games. Good teams draft well despite their draft positioning. We were having trouble closing out games, today we learned how to do it. Our defense stepped up when they needed to and our offense finished them off. A complete team win. Go watch DC’s locker room search. Zero turnovers, a strong running game, and our defense stepped up and stopped the run in the second half. He wants that to be “Panther Football.” Good teams don’t worry about where they are drafting.
  10. He has earned the right to be in our QB room next year with hopefully an even better roster. I’m also all for signing someone like Fields or drafting a mid round guy for depth/competition. Young has shown some growth in his development and hopefully that will continue. A plan B would do nothing but help us as well.
  11. I doubt Campbell calculated all of that and decided to win lol. His job was to turn around that franchise. Getting wins helped change the culture. There really isn’t some blue chip player in this draft I’d want at 3/4 vs 7/8 anyway.
  12. 100%. Winning is how you fix the culture. Winning is how you get prime time games. Look at the Lions in Campbell’s first year. Their 3 wins came late week 13, 15, and 18. He could have given two shits about draft positioning.
  13. At this point yes. There is no specific player we would be tanking for. We need to fix the culture.
  14. I don’t doubt it, our staff apparently had a toxic environment and most were fired midseason. It’s hard to top that.
  15. I’m not sure his roster is any better than Bryce’s was last year. NE is a pretty bad team. Coaching, sure he has more stability there.
  16. It doesn’t work until it does. Reminds me of people claiming OSU QBs can’t translate to the NFL, until one did. Again if we are trading away a player we are cutting for a small chance at a WR working out it’s still a good thing IMO. I guess if you really are wanting to be negative about it, I’m sure it carried some salary cap with it. Definitely not my specialty though…
  17. He was giving up on routes causing interceptions. Unfortunately he had to go…
  18. I was just talking about it being low risk with some high reward potential. I consider those smart even if they don’t work out.
  19. Yeah there was no risk in the trade because we traded a guy we were cutting. It didn’t work out but we lost nothing. Seems like a smart trade to me.
  20. That’s good for him, but he was getting cut because of his salary. He was getting cut regardless.
  21. We traded DJax for him. We were cutting DJax regardless. Still got a small amount of capital from the Ravens for him. Really not much of a lesson to learn. Took a flier on a WR who didn’t work out for next to nothing. You have to keep trying to find talent by all means possible.
  22. So can we all agree our staff made the right call on moving him for whatever they could get?
  23. The good OGs are getting paid now. Teams are moving around their top rushers and OGs are becoming as valuable as any other position in the OL. Maybe they are easier to find, but if you get a good one they get paid well.
