  1. Canales is in the same boat Ben Johnson was last year. Our best bet was to grab one of these young coaches early before they turn into a bidding war the following year.
  2. I think it would be good if Evero stays. I want the Canales/Evero combo then we can get a comp when Evero gets hired about another team in the future.
  3. He "stepped in to" that situation in Seattle? Who was the WR coach from 2010-2017 followed by their passing game coordinator? Who do you think created that WR room in Seattle? Then you have Evans (getting some age on him) and Godwin coming off an injury. He had their offense scoring 11% more with Baker than it was with Brady. Over a decade under Carroll, Dungy as a mentor, and helping two of the biggest QB turnarounds we have seen in a minute is a decent resume. Let's just see what he can do.
  4. Dan Morgan will stop Tepper from crossing the LOS. It’s his specialty.
  5. Not me! You? -It was leaked Reich was the reason they were sniffing around Carr. Smelled like cheese...
  6. So he changed. That's promising. Maybe he will keep changing/adapting?
  7. I remember reading the reason we hired Reich is because he already had his staff all planned out. I think that was Reich’s “All-Star Staff” as much as anyone else’s. Reich just wasn’t the guy.
  8. I mean he will either get better or potentially lead us to a top pick AKA his replacement. Either way we have to build an offense around him this offseason.
  9. Rhule wasn't winning regardless. Reich would be the one where it got bad, but he was his own demise. Forcing terrible schemes with the wrong players and refusing to adapt. Both coaches were clearly not the right hires.
  10. Dan had success at Buffalo and Seattle. At the end of the day if we start winning Tepper will start backing off. It's a pattern of several owners in the league.
  11. Canales seems to be a Dan Morgan hire. As President/GM it would fall on Morgan more than the coach to try to have the owner back off.
  12. This is me as well. He wasn't my top choice, but I am definitely intrigued. I wanted a younger offensive guy that wasn't a rethread so he checks those boxes. Spending over a decade under Pete Carroll is a nice box to check as well.
  13. Yeah not a Monken fan. He had some loaded UGA teams in college as well.
  14. He did great in Seattle and Buffalo. I wouldn't write Morgan off yet. I'm sure it's a short leash though (as usual).
  15. I think it was a Dan Morgan hire. He worked with Canales a while in Seattle.
  16. https://www.tampabay.com/sports/bucs/2024/01/20/dave-canales-todd-bowles-pete-carroll-chris-simms-chase-edmonds/ Yards may have dipped, but scoring was up 11% after replacing Brady with Baker.
  17. Dungy met Canales at a retreat and has been kind of taking him under his wing throughout his career as well.
  18. He was the WR coach for Seattle for a while. He helped find/build some of those WR rooms.
  19. I live in Knoxville and Milton just doesn’t have it. He doesn’t seem that competitive and doesn’t like running because he wants to avoid contact (which I understand, but it sets a stagnant tone for the offense). He looks good when everything is working, but one penalty or blown up play and he starts to get flustered. If someone can light a fire in him, he definitely has some raw talent.
  20. He did want Fields but our staff went with Horn and extended Darnold… So far he sucks at hiring people but he did hire a firm to try to help with that.
