Horn, CJ Henderson, Haynes, Hayden Hurst OUT for Sunday

Smart play. Someone beat me to the punch in my league. -
“I don’t know why they haven’t moved him (Ickey) to guard yet”

I don't think he was on him all night. They moved him around. He only allowed one pressure. https://www.chicagobears.com/video/darnell-mooney-s-burst-thayer-s-playbook Here is a video of him against Moton and then Icky. Even on the one with Icky if Young didn't run into the pressure on the right side he may have been fine. Not sure how PFF grades that. Young was already down and Icky kind of gave up when he saw that. -
That's not positive! Ban yourself! (kidding) I think his main point was give him time before you write him off. Yeah in a redo draft we trip over ourselves running to draft Stroud IMO.

https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/lists/panthers-colts-week-9-2023-pff-grades-bryce-young-miles-sanders-brian-burns/ Week 9 he was our second highest offensive player. Week 10 he was one of the best graded OL in the NFL. It makes sense he was struggling early, but he is currently trending up (Dallas will make him drop again I'm sure). It would be nice if he could get some consistency beside him with a decent LG as well. That might be hurting Bozeman too. -

Didn't he just have back to back solid weeks? He has definitely struggled in this new scheme, but he looked decent these past couple games. Lets get a good LG beside him and see if he looks better first. That BC injury killed us. Worst case scenario is what @LinvilleGorge suggested and we switch BC and Icky next year. We really need a good center though. Bozeman looks awful in our scheme. Also depth (obviously) has to be addressed. -

Well we had Haynes for one game. I wanted to see Haynes and Burns together in this 3-4… -
[GRAPH] Bryce's accuracy + separation for WRs
ForJimmy replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Correct. They can highlight specific issues, but there are many outside factors that go into it as well. -
The footwork is definitely an issue. I think it was a perk for him in college. He was able to make off platform throws in tight places (like Mahomes does in the NFL). The problem is he doesn’t have the arm strength to do this in the NFL. Mahomes is one of the few who can because he is a unicorn. It’s going to be tough to fix this and takes away one of the things that was considered s strength for him in college. We he has a clean pocket he has to learn to have his feet planted but it’s going to be tough to learn this after a lifetime of the opposite.

Yeah damn analytics WTF do they prove. Bryce shares plenty of the blame but so does our staff/offense as a whole. -

Even with those skewing it to a degree, this is pretty terrible data. I’d say both correlate too. If WRs aren’t separating and dropping passes with CBs sitting on predictable routes then rookie QBs are going to get more hesitant to throw the ball. His footwork isn’t going to get better either until we fix the interior of the OL. We need a new center and depth for when BC returns. BC’s injury killed our OL. -
100%. Also footwork and fundamentals is how Brees made it work with his smaller frame. He literally hopped around the pocket with his feet set going through his progressions.
-
Yeah he isn’t coming back…
-
Yeah it looks like regression.

With our running game I doubt it, but who knows? You are rocking a house divided this Sunday right?
-
Lol I get it. Just saying sometimes strange things happen. “That’s why they play the game.”
-
I don’t think they have one anymore. Houston sucks balls and Stroud is winning by himself as a one man show? That’s all I can make out of it….
-
If Mingo can consistently get open and get some YAC then yes Young would have a playmaker. That’s how it’s works. They have more speed and an OC that knows how to work with his QB to get his weapons open. You can go read the data if you don’t like it. Houston’s OL is giving him more time, his weapons are catching it more often with more separation and getting YAC on top of it. Stroud is still having a MVP type year. When Rodgers was clicking in GB the same things were happening. If you get an elite QB with a staff that knows what they are doing good things happen fast. What team outside of SF snd maybe the Eagles does Mills get more than 2 wins? Schultz, Dell, plus Ryans and his OC weren’t there last year. So yeah they were a worse team plus they had a bad QB. That’s the interesting part about all of this. How quickly Houston is turning it around. Most important is getting Stroud, but no other rookie has seen this type of success so early. Part of that is a credit to Houston like it or not. I’m sorry that bothers you for some strange irrational reason.

He is playing. It's a good reason to pull him if things get ugly fast. Something does tell me this game will be closer than we think. Sometimes the Cowboys overlook bad teams like the Cardinals...

I was so excited when Brown came here. Now he is stuck is a terrible place. We really need to let Frank go and have Staley or Evero take over HC while Brown does his on thing with the offense. Between Brown, Evero, and Staley maybe we can find something in this staff that works. Honestly I wouldn't be against giving one of those guys next year as well. We don't have a top pick and will be rolling with Bryce for one more year regardless. It also helps a little with the Tepper fires coaches too quickly reputation if he extends an interim coach IMO.
-
Someone on Discord suggested this is Frank's way to kind of fall on the sword and protect Brown. If the offense still struggles it's 100% on him now without a scapegoat. I could see that to a degree...

They finally go the running game going. It's something we can't do. If you actually read the article they don't even mention the running game. It's offensive scheme, playmakers making plays, YAC, an improving defense etc that is making their team play better as a whole. Stroud has a decent pocket, weapons with separation, and they can take it to the house once they catch it. Combine that with Stroud's football IQ and elite arm talent and they are becoming a solid young team overall. Ryans is doing what everyone was expecting our staff to do at a much faster rate. The only thing predictable is people on here trying to actually argue against something that is so obvious to any casual fan.

and other teams use to acquire what little talent we have for cheap...
-
That was in jest because you seem hyper sensitive about Stroud to a point where we can't even compliment the players around him WITH him without a reaction. The Texans are doing it right. They have their QB and were even getting his input during the draft they picked him. Stroud wanted Dell and they took him in the third. Look how it paid out. It's like Burrow asking the Bengals to draft Chase over OL to a lesser degree. Hopefully that relationship continues. As annoying as he could be at times he was entertaining. I will never forgot the Young Lion Corral posts.

Yeah but your eyeballs don't matter because all you need is the Fantasy App?? Or so I'm told...
