Like the ones super athlete AR has been taking? Despite all of his negatives I will say that Young has shown to be pretty damn tough. I'll give him that.
-
Turnovers are part of the growing pains. I want us to open up the offense for him go no huddle and let him throw it down the field. If he throws picks that is ok this year, learn from it. As long as he is developing and getting TDs as well the turnovers are just part of it. Hell Manning threw more INTs than TDs his rookie year and only won 3 games. Brady and Mahomes were able to sit for at least a year so it's not apples to apples in a Young comparison. As several people have stated Stroud having a great year is making everyone be harder on Young. Young hasn't played like the number 1 pick that I get, but he is simply playing like a rookie QB on a bad team with questionable coaching. That's why I want him to let loose, improvise, spread the defense out and see if he can do any of those things he did at Alabama.

Appreciate it! I could say the same about you as well. One of the posters I enjoy reading on here.

I would be curious to see how Stroud would look in this mess. I'm sure he would look better, but not as good as he does in a franchise that appears to have leadership and a HC that knows how to delegate/trusts his staff. @CamWhoaaCam you are always quick to admit when you are wrong, well you were right about Wilks over Reich and us signing Hopkins.
-
Yes it was Brian Johnson, but he got promoted to the Eagles OC so I am not sure he would have taken the job.

A little rationale and logic goes a long way on here. Not many of us use it, myself included.

Hopefully you still make some casual posts from time to time on here as it's good to hear your input. Best of wishes to your and your family. I hope you enjoy your retirement and get some good news on the whole health situation. Also @4Corners trying to tell another poster they "rub people the wrong way" is the most ironic thing I've read in a while.

Observer: Is it time for Panthers to go to Andy Dalton?
ForJimmy replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah getting an extra win or 2 and still having uncertainty at the QB position is pointless. We would just have a worse 2nd round pick and not know if Bryce can be developed on not. Bryce should be playing this year and probably next (with more help). If he still struggles and it's bad I could see us doing a reboot in 2025. -
Just let Brown or Evero take over this is awful.
-
It's just such a small sample size for Young that one or two drops skews it big time.
-
I wonder how we are on drops as well.
-
You and a lot of others apparently
-
It’s still very early you are right, but Stroud looks like he belongs in this league.
-
Yeah injuries and offensive turnovers.
-
Yeah I enjoyed his posts. He provided a lot of content as well. I hated to see him leave, but I completely understand.
-
Are we putting CJ Henderson on Hill?
-
Your response is better. I yield.
-
Well we have Shaq, Horn, and Woods on IR, plus DJax missed plus Shaq’s backup got injured, plus an offense that is constantly turning the ball over. 3 turnovers on the road against a good team when you are down 4 starters plus a backup isn’t going to end well.
-
Maybe this is how they learn. If we had people in the room telling him Stroud is the guy and he convinced them to go Young he has to be pissed at himself.

Lol touché

If you believe Tepper was the driving force behind it, how can he really hold anyone else accountable?

Did Thomas Brown take over play calling in the second half?
ForJimmy replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
It didn’t look like prevent to me. Which is why AT and Thomas caught 25 plus yard passes and the Lions got called for roughing the passer twice. They also didn’t stop scoring on offense. I don’t think Campbell is a let off the gas kind of guy. To me the offense got better because we HAD to take some chances and throw it down the field. It’s what many of us have been screaming for the whole time. Mays also looked better at LG than Zavala. -
At least let Brown call plays and do his job. Frank is too stubborn and not good at play calling.
